At the end of the day life is not over
just because you're pregnant, i'm 15 and 4
weeks away from my due date and coping
prefectly well. I have no idea how the
doctor system works in america but i would
presume that you could go to the doctor's
by yourself

They wern't happy but they wanted to stand
by mine and my boyfriend's decision and
let me live my life. Things different in
england though, we finish school at 16 so
being pregnant at 15 isn't frowned upon as
much as it would be where you are

tell them - just tell them.
the longer you leave it the harder it is.
you made the choice to be having sex, now
just tell them.
you need to make sure you get the correct
medical care for you and your baby.
sure they will probably be disappointed to
begin with, but it's a big shock for them
and you have to give them some time for it
to sink in.

the quicker you tell your family the
better:) My mum and dad were disapointed
in me. and im 20. But they are okay about
it now so its all great. it took my mum
4months to get used to the idea! But if
you are keeping your baby u do need to
tell them, even if its over the phone or
in a letter, cause your going to start
getting a bump.
you can go to the doctors by yourself i
think, well u can in england. :S dunno
about where u live.
good luck anyways x

Of course you can go to the doctor without
your mom. Also, doctor-patient
confidentiality means your doctor cannot
discuss your healthcare with your mom
either.
If you decide you don't want to be
pregnant, the doctor can't tell your mom
about your abortion either.
If you decide you want to keep the baby or
give it up for adoption, you need to get
proper medical care and prenatal vitamins
(available at any drugstore).

actualy you would need your parent there
if your under 18 b/c when i was 17 my
doctor (that i had gone to since i was 14)
couldnt see me unles there was a written
note from my mom (shes disabled so it may
have been an exception) BUUT you can go to
a free clinic without your parents. i also
live in florida but in tampa but i
definatly know that there are free clinics
in florida. so look them up or even call
411 and ask for the jax free clinic or
planned parenthood whichever theyre
called. no worries about your parents.
they will initially be disappointed BUT if
you are completely responisble through out
the whole thing then i think it will be
easier for them. did your parents know you
were having sex? good luck.

I completely agree with Kia. It is better
to just tell your parents now. i am 17 and
I am 14 weeks pregnant. My mom and I don't
have the best relationship. We never have.
When I told her she was disappointed and I
thought it was horrible. I had already
started moving out and so I thought that
it was the greatest thing that she
couldn't really complain to me. we get
along a lot better, but it still needs
work. she's not helping me so much right
now, but she told me that shes just
getting used to it. My boyfriend is 24
tomorrow, so I think that is a major issue
in her being so mad but even if your mom
and you fight it will get better. I still
get scared about having a baby and I still
worry about how all my friends look at me,
but I am more excited about having a baby.
I get my first ultrasound to try to see
what if the baby's a boy or girl in two
weeks. It seems like it's going by so
fast. And as far as money. I don't have
much either. Until we get the bills paid
off we're going to get food stamps and
feel like losers but it's just to help us
get started. I'm trying to get a job, but
not many people are hiring round here, so
it's hard. But it really does get better.
you can pm me if you want to talk.
toodles
