Having Surgery And Have a Sore Throat
Posted: 05-30-07 10:58am

Hello I am probably being a little paranoid but wondered if anyone could help me. This friday I am having a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and d & c done. I am a little worried about all those. But if it will relieve the constant pain I have been experiencing then so be it. But now I have developed a sore throat but no symptoms of a cold really. Will this stop my surgery? Is there any quick remedy I can do to fix it so the possibility my surgery will be post poned will not happen. I am most likely over reacting but I do not want to push this surgery any longer. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

I think you should call your doctor. They may want to start you on some antibiotics ahead of time. Better safe than sorry. The most they will say is not to worry about it.

Good luck with your surgery. I hope all goes well!

Try taking 1000 mg of vitamin c every hour for a couple of days, this should boost your immune system and knock it out of your system. But yes also mention it to your doctor because you'd hate to get sick before or immediately after your surgery.
