You are gay if you are attracted to the same sex, but not the opposite sex. It's something people are whether they like it or not. It is not a choice.

is it normal for teens to feel confused about this sort of thing? like, i do not want to be gay at all. do you think that this is just an after effect of the break-up?

Don't listen to roger. He seems to be our newest spammer. You can't be "trained" to be gay. Current psychological research suggests that sexual preference is something we are born with.

If you are not attracted to the same sex, then you are not gay. It is fine if you are not attracted to anyone right now. You don't have to be.

Why don't you want to be gay?

thanks, So, you think that it's normal to be totally turned off by anything sexual right now? I don't really think that i'm gay i jsut got worried because I just wasn't feeling any desire for anyone or anything...like, right now i wouldn't care if i didn't have sex for the next 5 years.

Absolutely. I don't think that sounds abnormal at all. After getting out of a four year relationship when I was in college, my sex drive practically shut down for a year and a half. I did not date, have sex, get in the mood, masturbate or anything else in that time. Then, when I met my next partner, my sex life just picked up where it left off.

There's not really a "normal" amount to get in the mood as long as your sex drive does not interfere with the rest of your life. If you're not ready and just not feeling it right now, no rush.

That Does Not Mean You Are Gay
Posted: 05-30-07 20:47pm

Okay, sorry. I have to step in this. If you are not into women or men, you are not gay! And if you find a male sexy that doesn't mean you are gay either! I am so sorry. I think people are so quick to call you gay. I am a female, I find other females sexy and I have no question in my mind that I am not gay. Reason, I can never look at a women in the same way as I do a man. I couldn't marry a women, share my life with a women or have a relionship with one. I am just saying, just because you have thoughts, that doesn't mean you are gay. You might be but don't be so quick say you are.
