My Girlfriend Might Be Pregnant, I Need Help. Posted: 05-30-07 16:10pm
Last weekend my girlfriend and I were
engaging in sexual intercourse. We believe
it was right before her period because she
felt bloated, her breasts were tender, and
she was experiencing mild cramps. We had
sexual intercourse several times, once
without a condom. The time we didn't use a
condom only lasted half a minute tops and
I was nowhere near having an orgasm. She
was still very worried and decided to
purchase and take "the-morning-after"
pill, "plan b". She took the pill about 24
hours to 48 hours after unprotected sex.
She is telling me that she feels heavier
and that she has an increased appetite, an
abnormal one. After she took
"the-morning-after" set of pills she
started her period that day and it lasted
the length of a normal period. I am just
paranoid that there is the slightest
chance she is infact pregnant. We are both
18 years old with college ahead of us. Any
advice or help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you.

she took the morning after pill so i doubt
that she is pregnant.
it also may mess with her cycles and make
her bleed at different times than shes
used to
if youre still worried, wait a few weeks
and take a test, but i doubt she is.
and next time, use a condom no matter
what.

She was having premenstrual symptoms when
right before and while we were having
intercourse. She was also about do for her
next period, which seemed like she got 3
days after intercourse. I don't really
know when ovulation is suppose to occur,
is it right before your period or in the
middle of your cycle?

In a typical cycle, ovulation occurs
around day 14 to 16 (the first day of the
period being day 1), however many women do
not have a typical cycle. That is why
protection needs to be used every single
time. Some women even ovulate during
their period.

No. You need to wait until her period is
due and have her take a test. If that is
negative, you need to run (don't walk)
down to the nearest family planning clinic
and .G.E.T birth control!!
Good luck

It's been four weeks and still no period.
She recently got a PAP Scan a week ago and
wouldn't that be able to tell if she was
pregnant? She recieved a blood and urine
test as well.

Pap smears check for cervical cancer, not
pregnancy. I don't know if pregnancy
tests are customary during the exam. I
know they often check the urine to see if
the women has a uti, and they check the
blood for diabetes. It is possible that
they also look for pregnancy, but I am not
sure. If she is wondering, she can ask
the doctor.

she took a second pregnancy test last
night, it's been 32 days since her last
period. the pregnancy test came up
negative again but she woke up this
morning nauseous. She is having some of
the pregnancy symptoms but they could also
be PMS symptoms. I'm probably just
worrying to much.
