Hvp??
Posted: 05-30-07 16:48pm

Hi im new, Ill skip the pleasantries and get right down to it. My girlfriend has just been diagnosed with HPV. WE have had protected sex with exception of twice (Take note, I do know that that’s enough)… The doctor said that she had high grade dysphasia as well. Now my question is what’s this mean for me? What should I do? And is there any way I can start the motions early... Please help.

YOu can start by getting yourself tested. Talk to your doctors, have them explain terms you don't understand, and go from there.

.i was just diagnosed with this as well (.i am a girl also had dysplasia but only mild). .my doctor informed me that guys will not have any adverse side effects from it and you will never test positive for it since their is no test for hpv for men. .i would talk to your doctor about it just to put your mid at ease.

.the high risk strain refers to the elevated risk of cervical cancer in men. .you do not have a cervix so this doesn't really mean anything to you. .high risk strains also do not cause warts so you will never have outward signs of this infection. .hpv has also been know to go away on its own, which is unique to this virus.

Right. So all it means for you, umbral, is that you could give it to future partners if you do have it.
