Which Is the Best Birth Control
Posted: 05-31-07 02:10am

Okay I have been on many different birth control pills now.
I have done good one them for a while then, its like they stop. I have been recently tired all the time, Don't get along with my husband, and I am just not the outgoing person I was.
Right now I am no Sprintec and I don't see anything good happening with me.
I just got off Ortho tri cyclen for the same problem.
Is there a pill out there that is good with mood swings???
I have also tried the patch and totally hated it.
Any suggestions would be great!!! Very
Happy

Neither Ortho tri or orthro lo gave me moodswings, so you know everyone is different.

There are non-horomonal forms of birth control. But perhaps yaz would work for you, or progesterone only pills?

The best type of bc I found was the Mirena iud. But this is only a good option for a canidate who has already had a child and is in a managomous relationship.

Any iud is an excellent option for any woman or teen, no matter her age or her promiscuity or how many babies she's had. The only obstacle for younger, childless women is stupid doctors who think they know how a woman feels.

They are saying now that the IUD is safe for women who have not given birth, but the risk of it coming out is slightly higher (but not serious). Also, the reason they say it is better for women who are in a monogomous relationship is just because it doesn't protect you from STI's, just like most hormonal birth control forms.

If you have tried so many different pills and none of them help with the mood swings, maybe it's not due to the pill? There are many likely mood disorders and it can't hurt to get checked out by a psychiatrist to rule that out. If you found out that that was the case, you can get it all fixed up. Smile

IUD! paragard IUD!

Yes, stupid doctors that won't give nulliparous women IUD even though it is totally safe. But even though trying to find a doctor who will do it is quite hard, it is very possible. I got mine (no sweat) at a PP clinic and I was only 18 and nulliparous at that time.
