well, it's official. i just finished off a packet of pills and we won't be refilling my prescription.

we're not going to actively start trying until august (because of the wedding), but we're not going to be doing much to prevent it either. we're just going to try to avoid my fertile days, which might be tricky since i'm just coming off the pill.

is there anything i should expect after being on the pill for 6 months?

Nothing I can think of. Well, actually I starting getting headaches and found myself hungrier than usual. I don't know if that has to do with the pill.
Did Sarah and I give you baby fever? lol
I had a dream that me, you, Sarah, and the kids were somewhere sitting in a circle talking. lol

i was just wondering if there would be random bleeding or anything.

i've had baby fever for a looooooong time. we really want to start trying in august so i figured i'd go off it now and give my body some time to adjust. i'm not expecting anything to happen anytime soon, but if it does it won't be a big deal. i was just hoping to lose more weight before the wedding and i can't diet if i'm pregnant.

lol, you were in my dream last week. i don't remember what it was about but i woke up and was like, "what?"

thanks cindy! i hope it doesn't take long. i'm addicted to peeing on sticks and we could go broke if this takes months upon months. the first time i got pregnant it took 8 months and it took 4 months with finn.

That's funny. I think we were sitting around in a hotel room on folding chairs holding our kids. It was strange and I have no idea what we were talking about. I didn't have any strange bleeding, but when I had my last period it was sooooo heavy! No cramps though, which is odd for me.

I went off .Ortho .Tri. .Cyclen .Lo after my last relationship ended and I switched to condoms. I don't remember having any side effects right after I stopped taking it, but my periods have gotten irregular and .I skipped my period 2 months in a row in .Feb and .March but wasn't pregnant. Shocked My periods are definitely heavier now, though.

Good luck! I'm excited for you.

edited to add: I didn't have any random bleeding when .I went off bc. I had random bleeding when I was .o.n it!

I think alot of it has to do with why you went on birth control to begin with.

If you went on it only to not get pregnant. It shouldn't be to bad. You'll probably have some spotting for the first few months, and you might not have a set schedule right away. So don't panic if your a day or two late. But, you also might get pregnant right away.

But, If you went on birth control for long or heavy periods or to regulate your cycle, you should expect whatever problems you had before. (possibly worse the first few weeks) And feel fortunate if you don't.

I could tell you my personal experience....but it wouldn't apply. I hope everything goes smooth for you!

christy, i went on it so i wouldn't get pregnant. i think i went through 7 packets. that might not matter, i'm just saying i wasn't on it too long. pre-preg i'd had a 28-day cycle pretty much for the last 15 years.

sarah, i don't know if i want a baby bridget! i have all the boy stuff and they'd be sharing a room so i kind of want a boy next. of course, it really doesn't matter!

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you were back in that cycle in 3 months (possibly sooner) I hope it goes smooth!
