congrats! weren't you the one stockpiling baby goods? maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all!

good luck!

sorry, i'm not good at creative ways to tell dh. i just wrote him a sappy card about how much i love him and at the end said something like, "and i hope you're as excited as i am about having a baby".

i know how i'll tell him about the next one though!

congratulations!!!

Well my pregnancy wasnt planned so i just blurted it out to him because i was in total shock.

I would probably cook him a nice dinner, crack a can open for him and then tell him.

Theres an idea for you. Good luck! Hope you get the reaction your hoping for!!!

I am a hopeless romatic so I have a few Ideas.

First I would cook him dinner or order in and do it all casually like any other day. Rent, order, or watch a movie on the tv about babies and casually say. "I love kids and just think in 8 more months we will be enjoying our own bundle of joy". Make sure you have a congradulations you're a father card and maybe some cider or champaign on the side to celebrate after you tell him.

I have other ideas if thats to simple or boring.

Ask him what he wants for father's day.

Or you could get some books with the word "Daddy" in the title, wrap them up all nice, and have a little note or card on top that says, "You're going to need these."

This Is How I Told Mt Husband
Posted: 06-01-07 07:29am

It was Valentine's day when I found out that I was pregnant so I took a small box that would make it look like I got him a gold chain or something like that but instead I put the positive pregnancy test in it. He was totally not expecting that. He was looking at it and was saying '' Oh my god you're pregnant!!!! ''

I thought that it was a pretty neat way to tell him. Anyways that was 5 yrs ago. I am now 12wks pregnant and for this one I just woke him up at like 6 in the morning and told him ''I'm pregnant'' We were in shock a bit more for this one Shocked

Anyways good luck with which way you decide. I am sure that he will be excited no matter which way you choose to tell him.

Have a happy and healthy nine months.

Thanks so much guys...tones of great ideas, kaerbear, i like yours.
We have two puppies/dogs, so I made signs and hung them off their colar. One said 'your gonna be a daddy' , and the other one said "im gonna be a big brother'
it took him a couple of reads...then he started getting excited saying i am i am...it was adorable, then we jumped around for a few more minutes until I felt sick. haha
