Depo shot : are spotting and bleeding normal side effects ? Posted: 06-01-07 10:37am
I have been on Depo before and usually the
Dr. waits until the first day of my
menstraul cycle to give me the injection.
This time it was a new dr. and she gave it
to me a couple of weeks before my cycle.
I was having leg and arm pains but that
has gone away and now 1 month later I am
spotting is this normal? It is dark
colored so I wasnt sure if that was
something to worry about.

Menstrual irregularities are one of the
side effects of depo-provera injections.
Other side effect include bleeding and
spotting. You can consult your
gynecologist for an expert opinion and to
monitor the ongoing contraceptive
treatment.
