Genital Warts
Posted: 06-01-07 12:10pm

I have only had sex with two girls in my life and the first with condoms except for once when it busted. The second I have been with for four years and sometimes we use rubbers and sometimes not. Any way I have never had any signs of genital warts but recently I have had some places appear that sound like they could be genital warts. There are afew here and there singled out and then there are a few very small groups. They are all very small, flat, and hardly noticable. I don't know if they are genital warts or not and I really don't want to go get tested because I have heard for guys to get tested for std's it is quit painful, because they run the swab or what ever down your ureathra. I'm pretty sure they are genital warts I don't know what else they could be but it doesn't make any sence because I have only been to be with two girls the first was a virgin, according to her, and the second has had a papsmear since we have been together and nothing showed up on it. I don't know what to do?

There is no test for genital warts, nor is there a test for hpv, the virus that causes genital warts. Also, I have heard that they no longer swab the inside of men's urethras for sti tests. I hear they test urine samples and/or blood samples.

Go to the doctor. The doctor can recognize genital warts just by looking at them. You should have them treated or they will spread and get larger. Doctors see it all the time. They are extremely common, and basically harmless.

Also, condoms don't prevent transmission of .H.P.V.

For women, certain strains of .H.P.V increase the likelihood of developing cervical cancer but the strains that cause genital warts are different from the strains that are linked to cancer. H.P.V's only effect on men is genital warts - no increased risk of cancer.

There's Window Period

well, maybe during the papsmear test... it is the window period of hpv where it show no sign, the best is abstinence from sex or have one partner... but being a guy, this is difficult to reject sex, from especially pretty sexy girl Crying
or Very sad No worry, i heard from my doc that men scenario is better compare to women with genital warts since it's easier to treat men as warts grow outside... for women, it's inside Confused
Pray we all get well soon Smile
