Anyone Do Daycare From Home?
Posted: 06-01-07 18:37pm

I will find out on monday if I got the two day a week job in my field. The head is still making up his mind, which doesn't seem completely promising. If I didn't get the job, I pretty much won't have a job until the following school year. It's hard to find part time employment in my field in this area.

Which leads me to the next question....

I will need to make some money and would be considering taking in one or two kids to watch during the day. Anyone else do this for extra income??? If so, can you give me some advice, ideas or the such??? How do you cope with being stuck in the house all day?

I really want the part time job, so I can have the other two or three days a week to take my older son out to the museum, mommy groups and other fun stuff. I won't be able to do that if I have a few daycare kiddos. On the upside, at least I will be able to stay home with my children.

Candita Sky - you do daycare, right?? If you do, perhaps we can PM??

i don't do daycare, but i do know some people look for part time care. if you advertise that you're looking to take in kids 2-3 days a week, i'm sure people will still call you.

i think it sounds fun! good luck with whatever job you go with!

I do think if i go that route, I will first advertise for part time child care and see if I get any interested people!

You know what that means?? I will have to become more domesticated! Oh my! I am far from a domesticated Goddess. I think that would be 100 times more challenging for me than school or work ever was. I would seek out those who are domesticated stay at home mommy Goddesses and ask for a lot of advice!!! Pretty sad, huh?

I have a part time job m-th afternoons, 5:30-9:30 and during the day I watch my cousin's baby. that is m-f 7:30-4:45. Before I started watching the baby, I wanted to take on a total of 2 other children/babies. Well now that I'm watching .aiden, I've decided he's enough work! Tho once he gets older I think I'd still like to take on another one for the extra income.
If I have to go somewhere I just take them both with me. If it's just a quick outting to drop something by work, or the post office I take along my sidekick....my other cousin. She's 13, but she's very mature and she loves kids, so she'll sit in the car with the 2 babies and I run in quick. She is also the one that watches .adriana in the evening when I go to work. She cleans house too Smile and plays with the dogs....talented young lady! But it is very hard during the day to stay home all the time. I only go out if I absolutely have to. Adriana and I used to be on the go all the time....but now we're always home. But she's just that much more well behaved when we go now. Tonight we went to my parents and she was a complete angel! If you have anymore questions feel free to pm me!

I do I take care of 10 plus my 3. pretty simple really you need to come up with a price to charge or a flat rate so on if you will provide meals snacks...time you are avail. then right it all out and make a contract so it states like must be paid by 7p.m. friday every week or it is 25.oo a day per child till you are paid in full and you will charge extra if they are late or cancell last min so forth otherweise they will take advantage of you make sure they rwead it and sign it and hand back i can give more info on tues if you need hun.

You take care of 10 children plus your own. You are one of those ultra-gifted people, aren't you? I will PM you and hopefulmjz soon to ask you more questions.
