Stem Cell Transplants Posted: 06-02-07 22:56pm
I saw an article about stem cells being
used to treat COPD in Argentina so I did
more research and found a company doing
stem cells for COPD that was much closer
than Argentina. This treatment is not a
hoax.
As a result of my research, two of us with
COPD (we are both members of Efforts) had
umbilical cord stem cell transplants on
April 5th of this year and have noticed
some improvements already. The treatment
in Argentina injects your own cells
injected via IV and we had umbilical cord
stem cells injected through an IV. The
jury is still out on which procedure is
more effective as it's still too early for
any of us to see long-term results.
