Paranoid About Pregnancy
Posted: 06-03-07 22:25pm

I had protected sex for the first timeand there were no rip or tears in the condom, its been a week after my period has stopped. is there by any chance a way that i would get pregnant my some sort of freak accident?
I dont know if im overthinking things or just paranoid. Should i get a pregnancy test or would that be unneeded?

Pregnancy is always a possibility when you have sex. No method of birth control is 100% effective. However, there's no need to take a pregnancy test every time you have sex. Birth control will protect you from pregnancy most of the time.

If you really want to prevent pregnancy, you can just invest in two or three different methods of birth control for added protection. You can talk to your ob-gyn about all of your birth control options.
