Hey. I have occasionaly experienced pain
during sex. Usually it's just like
someone punched me in the cervix or
something. It depends on the position.
It has only happened if my husband and I
are in the "doggy" position or if I'm
laying on my back with my legs up in the
air or pressed back toward my chest. But
tonight was the worst. It felt like
someone jammed a stick up in me all the
way through into the center of my abdomen
to the point I yelled and had to stop.
I've had to stop before, but it's never
been quite this painful. It still ached
for a little while afterward. If I tried
to sit flat with my legs criss cross it
felt like someone was pressing inside of
me. I also had a tiny tiny bit of specks
of blood when I wiped after using the
bathroom. I had an IUD inserted on May
25th so I was worried that maybe that had
something to do with it being so much more
painful. I decided to check my strings.
They are the same length as they were the
last time I checked them. I did notice
though that my cervix is very low. I
barely had to stick my finger inside to
feel it. I just put my middle finger in
up to my first knuckle. Also, when I had
my IUD inserted, the dr. said my uterus
and/or cervix were tilted to the back so
he had a difficult time inserting and
actually pinched a couple of pieces of my
cervix off when clamping it. Should I be
worried? What could be making it hurt?
Thanks!

what you have described sounds perfectly
normal to me. he is hitting your cervix.
the positions you describe (doggy, legs
pressed towards chest) are the same
positions that give me pain during sex.
positions where the guy enters you from
behind can hurt, and so can missionary
when you press your legs up against your
body like that because your vagina is
shortened in this position.
your cervix changes position when you are
aroused and at certain times of the month
- perhaps you are not sufficiently aroused
before having sex. i hope this helps:
"After menstruation and directly under the
influence of estrogen, the cervix
undergoes a series of changes in position
and texture. During most of the menstrual
cycle, the cervix remains firm, like the
tip of the nose, and is positioned low and
closed. However, as a woman approaches
ovulation, the cervix becomes soft and
mushy, and rises and opens in response to
the high levels of estrogen present at
ovulation. This change, accompanied by the
production of fertile-quality cervical
mucus, supports the survival and movement
of sperm. " - wikipedia

Thank you so much for your reply. I feel
better knowing that I'm not the only one
this has happened to and it's not
something bad. My husband feels horrible
when it happens and I always tell him that
it isn't his fault that I don't know what
it is. I had a feeling it may be because
my cervix was sitting so low. My period
just ended so I guess I'll have to limit
certain positions to certain times.
THanks again!!

Yeah- is your guy unusually large? I would
suggest doing more positions where you are
in control of the depth of penetration- so
if you start to feel uncomfortable, you
can back off a little.
The positions you were describing are
great for really deep penetration- but
that is not what you need right now! Try
being on top where you are in control, or
when you are on top or bottom, try closing
your legs so that he can't go as deep- he
will appreciate the extra friction as
well, and should directly stimulate your
clit.
It shouldn't have anything to do with the
IUD. And the bleeding was probably due to
rough sex or a small tear or something.

Nope, he's not unusually large by any
means. Actually, he's about average,
maybe a little on the small side. I don't
know the actual average penis size of all
men, but this is just based off of the men
I have been with. He is not "well
endowed" but he sure knows what he's doing
with it.
It was a little rough though, so you're
probably right about the bleeding being
from that.
