:(does anyone happen to know the meaning
of the name cashton?
on sat morning we hamed our newborn son
cashton. we love this name! we looked into
the name and only found a town in
wisconsin named cashton. when we got home,
we looked on the hospital website and they
put a latin meaning as "vain" ofcourse we
cannot believe this! where are THEY
getting their info??
ive looked for latin meanings and i still
cannot find ANYTHING. we dont want this
to stick, i mean our friends and family
will be seeing this.
we are just woundering if anyone knows of
any meaing for this name, or if anyone can
help us find out were the hospital came up
with this horrible translation.....

why don't you call the hospital and ask
them to take the meaning off the website?
i don't think there is a meaning if it's
just the name of a town.
i really like it though, i think cash is a
great nickname.

i realise this thread is pretty old but i
don't know if you ever figured out your
baby's name. my cousin named her boy
kashtin after a canadian band. they are a
montaignais - innu (french speaking
natives from quebec and labrador in
canada) band. the name is innu for
"tornado" or "tornado on the horizon" to
be more accurate. it's probably not
related to the town you mentioned but it
is one meaning for the name.

i looked for you and about 5 website about
meaning and history of names but everyone
i searched the name cashton came up
unfound, im sorry i tryed. i think its a
cute name i dont think it matters what the
meaning is, but thats just me
