Q: Baby Hair !

Hi, I'm new here. Just a curious..

I had a sonogram last week (28 weeks) and I was told that the baby had a little bit of hair. My fiance and I are both blonde so I honestly figured our baby would be born bald or with very little hair. (since we are fair and we were both born with very little hair) Anyone else get told their baby had hair at this stage? How much hair were they born with? Thanks!

yes and it was a regular 2d sonogram too. she just pointed out she had a little bit on the back of her head. I never knew they could see from those either!

I am 36 weeks and around 26 weeks the doctor also told me that they could see hair; most babies are born with hair and often regardless of the parents hair color. I have often heard the myth that if you are fair your baby is born without which is not always true Smile
I know it is hard to over looked all the old wives tales since there are so many told to you when you are pregnant; however you many just have a baby with a full head of blond hair.

we were told at an ultrasound that the tech saw hair and we thought that was so crazy! we didn't know they could see that much detail.

we were both baldies as babies and then when we were little we were both blonde (i was white white blonde).

well, we were pretty shocked when we saw our baby finally...

here he is at 5 days old-

that picture doesn't really do his hair justice. it was just the best of his earliest pics that showed it. it's much tamer now but his hair used to be *wild*!

edit: this one's better, this is 6 days old-

At 29 weeks in a 3d ultrasound the tech saw no hair, but said she had long eyelashes. We can actually see her long lashes in the 2d. She was born with just as much as iheart's baby, Finny poo. lol

lol I know what you mean. I can sense my baby girls personality too! I say she's stubborn already! Like her Daddy! I see you're naming her Brianna, my fiance loves that name! Funny. But we still haven't decided on a name..it's so hard!

it was the one we could agree on.. her daddys name is brian and i just wanted something that was girly and had a cute nickname so brianna it was!

its rough deciding on a name.. I still like some others more then what we decided on but i guess i had to compromise.. lol. oh well.. the next one im deciding on my own!

how far along are you?

my little bree is already stubborn too.. she kicks the doctor and wont let her hear her heartbeat and shell start dancing if there is music on.

I'm 30 weeks. I am getting soooo anxious too!! I can't wait to see her! As for names - we like Brianna, Kayleigh and Tessa. But you know, there really just isn't a name that I know is the one. I'm just so indecisive and picky!
