It seems to be so quiet in here lately I
just wanted to make sure everyone was
still around.
So how is everyone doing these days?
Where are you in your cycle?
I feel like I have just gone numb about
the idea of getting pregnant right now.
But I only have to wait until the end of
July so that's not that far. I didn't
think this time would fly by this fast. I
have been so crazy busy at work so that
has really kept my ming off it. Work is
about to slow down a bit, so I think I
will start to think about it more often.
FF is driving me crazy. I got a positive
opk on Sunday, and ff still hasn't marked
my ovulation. urggg

July isn't very far!! I bet your dh is
excited!
I'm currently on cd 55. Yup...this sucks.
I'm on my 8th day of progesterone to get
my cycle started. Hopefully it will be in
the next few days. But, other than feeling
broken, I'm doing ok. Thank you for
asking. Yeah, ff has had a feild day with
me. My chart doesn't look bad. Just...I
guess sad really. I broke down and bought
the vip the other day.
Question: Has anyone else used
progesterone?

Wow Christy, cd 55???? I can only imagine
how you must feel right now. I think I
would be clawing at the walls or
something. I have never had to take
progesterone so I have no clue what you
feel like, but I do hope you feel better.
Hopefully af will start anyday now, and
you can start a new cycle fresh.
I bought the VIP for 3 months which will
get me to the end of my waiting cycle, so
I think I will have to re-up it then.
DH is very excited. He is such a guy, but
he is so cute about this whole thing. We
both smoke (I know horrible habit) and I
have really tried to quit during these
past months. My work has been so
stressful so I haven't been to good about
it lately, but come next Monday I am going
gung ho. Anyways, he said to me the other
day, we really need to get on it about
quitting smoking. He said he wants to
stop so that come August we are ready to
go right away. He is starting to really
try to make himself healthier. I think
its because he sees me doing it. He said
yesterday...Did you remember to take your
vitamins??? Um yeah I do it every day.
Did you??? He never remembers to take his
and I always have to remind him

Yeah, Progesterone sucks. It is the
hormone that your body produced the second
half of your cycle. And help sustain
pregnancy. It also has a ton of
pms/pregnancy symptoms side effects. So, I
have pretty much all of those but really
strong. I'm on 400 (mg?) daily. So that is
alot. So, not fun. And it is really
throwing off my temps.
Thats sweet that your dh tries to look
after that stuff! I try to make my dh take
vitamins. But, it doesn't work. LOL. Maybe
I can sneak it into his ice cream.
I've taken this time (I knew this was
going to happen) to try to get into better
shape. I have started eating breakfast. I
have gotten into a great habit of taking
my vitamins.(somethings else I've never
done before) I almost quit drinking. (I've
had less to drink since my 21st b-day then
at any other time in the last 7ish years)
Now I only drink maybe once a week/2
weeks. And I'm trying to lose some
wheight. I figure, If I'm not happy with
my body before I get pregnant, I
definitely won't be after.

I had a real hard time trying to get him
to take them. I would keep them out by
his sink, but that really didn't work.
Then I even would take one out of the
bottle and leave it on the edge of the
counter so he would see it and that kinda
helped. It probably was all the nagging I
did to get him to do it. now he remembers
to take one when he takes his shower after
work.
I think they have some liquid or powder
vitamins that you could slip into his
dinner Haha!!

I have really started to cut back on the
drinking. I wasn't drinking alot, but I
love to have a glass of wine after work.
Sometimes it would be 2 if it was a bad
day. So I have stopped buying wine and if
I have any then I save it for the
weekends. I rarely have any during the
week.
That's what I say about my body...if I am
not happy now, what the heck am I going to
do after I have a baby???

I was actually getting into a very bad
habit.(not an addiction, I didn't need
them, I just love the way they taste) I
love these green apple smirnoff twists.
(it's classified beer) So I would drink
one a night. (most of the time I never
finished one, but sometimes I would drink
two). So I just stopped buying them. Now
all I want to drink in the evenings is
coke with grenadine(sp). Basically, cherry
coke. My next hurdle is caffeine. That is
going to be very hard!

hi ladies... I agree... it has been really
quiet in here lately. just reading your
posts... I can't get my dh to take his
vitamins either... and it gets
frustrating. I am currently on cd 21...
but I don't expect to get a bfp this month
as I have been sick most of the month. I
have been looking into the effects blood
types can have on fertility... and how our
bodies fight off different types. My
husband and I have agreed to start eating
according to our blood types... to help
increase our chances of conceiving. We
have been reffered to a fertility
clinic... our appointment is on October
15th. I am nervous.... hopefully we get
pregnant before that... baby dust to us
all...

Hi girls
I haven't been around much because I'm
trying not to obsess about ttc, but I
think that's next to impossible.
I'm having a terrible day.
I'm thankful to have booked a last minute
appointment with my Fertility Specialist
tomorrow, hopefully she can tell me what
is going on.
My cycle is hooped right now. I'm on cd16
and last month this was my o day. I've
been getting -opks since sunday...and my
temps are going higher and higher...look
at this:
http://www.fertilityfr
iend.com/home/8afa7
FF tells me I o'd on cd10 which is highly
unlikely, because it is only 3 days after
taking my last clomid pill. I'm driving
myself nuts. I know it's soooooooo
important to keep a level head and not get
stressed or worry about it too much...but
I've invested so much time and $ into the
cycle, I've gone to accupuncture twice
($160) and using those digital opk's ($50)
and I'm supposed to have an iui. I just
don't want it all to go to waste.
Ugh...you know when you are on the verge
of tears 24-7 that it's time to make a
change. What? I don't know...but
somethings gotta change or I'm going to
lose it.

It is so hard not to get obsessed. I try
to remember that I am not the only one
going through this.. and it is amazing how
talking to all you beautiful girls makes
me feel so much better. Some days are
harder than others... for me the worst
part is waiting for af. Then when she
shows her ugly face.... I feel like I
should just stop trying. But maybe when
we all finally get our bfps we will be
thankful for them so much more...

Hi everyone, been a few days since I have
been on. Hope everyone is doing good.
MC, I have taken progesterone. I didnt
get any side effects like you, but it did
start my period. Did they give you 10
days worth? Thats what they did for me,
and you wont start until you stop taking
the pills.
I just had my sonohysterogram at the RE
today. It was kind of painful, more
cramping than anything, but it went well.
The dr said everything looked great, but I
am on cd 8 and I had no prominent
follicles on my ovaries, which indicated
to her that I am not ovulating. So, they
told me to treat today as cd 3 and gave me
a script for clomid. So, I started that
this evening, and hopefully a bfp will
follow in the next couple months. We will
see.

Do you take your bbt? I was wondering
because I still am scared that I am not
ovulating but I definitly get the after
"O" temp increase. I was just wondering
if you or anyone else knew if that alone
can indicate ovulation or if it doesn't.
I don't always get a really really dark
positive on the opk but I always thought
that was because I was never really
consistant with them.
Any thoughts?

I was taking opks everyday and was getting
faint positives everyday. That was the
first indicator to them that something was
up. I need to get progesterone levels
this month after I ovulate, and the dr
said the only way to know if I did ovulate
was if I get a negative opk before and
after a positive. If you get that than
you should be ovulating. Hope that makes
sense. I have only done temping one month
and it didnt show any increase. It sounds
like you are probably ovulating, but I
would be consistent with the opks to see
if you get definate +/- results.

Yup, I'm taking 400mg for 10 days. Just in

bad cramping, did you ever have that?
About how many days after you stopped
taking it did you start?

I want to say it started within the first
day after I stopped the meds. I always
have very bad cramps, so I couldnt say if
it was from the that or not. It sounds
like you are in the same boat as me. Last
month I went to cd 54. Hope the cramping
gets better soon.

I've been pretty scarse the last few weeks
and will be for a few more. My dh and I
are taking a three week vacation starting
this Saturday, and I'm knee deep in last
minute stuff and the vacation and at work.
We planned the vacation for after a busy
period. So far, the busy period hasn't
been filled with stress, which is good.
I just started my 2ww. My test day will
be around the 21st. If I get af, then I
will probably o while on vacation, too.
I'm not sure I will take my bbt during
that cycle. In fact, it might be too much
of a pain to do it at all on vacation, but
at least it would be informative during
the end of my 2ww. We'll just have to try
to bd when I have ewcm.
Christy - I hope you get af soon. You
definitely have more patience than I do.
Star - When I get back from vacation,
you'll be very close to ttc time again!
Mrs. Ltd and Dprssd - I didn't get any
postitives using the digital opk test for
two months straight, but I did get a temp
increase. I think that there must be
something about me that makes the opk
difficult. Since changing brands, I get
positives again, though not in the middle
of the day. My doctor doesn't know why
the opk's don't like me. Hopefully, when
I finally go to a specialist I can learn
why. (BTW, I'm going to work on my dh
this week to convince him that we should
schedule an appt for the specialist for
mid-July. I just don't understand why he
wants to wait longer.)

I noticed that I hadn't seen you around
very much. I hope you come back with a
vacation baby!! How wonderful would that
be?!?!Wow three weeks, what a great
vacation. Were are you going if you don't
mind me asking?
Yeah, may patients is running pretty thin
at the moment. I'm currently on cd 59 and
I finished my meds on saturday and still
no af. It's getting old pretty quick. But,
I can't do a whole lot about it...lol...

Well, I hope af comes very soon.
My husband and I are traveling all over
the U.S. We don't have any reservations
anywhere. We have a general idea of where
we want to go, but are staying flexible
enough to change our minds. It's actually
a lot of work to stay flexible because we
have to at least know that we can get
hotel rooms everywhere we go and that the
attractions will be open when we get
there. We have about 2 1/2 worth of stuff
on our list, but we know we'll spend more
time in some places.
Do you have any vacations planned?

THat sounds great!! I could never be that
spontaneous. My head would explode. I have
to have a plan or else I have panic
attacks. But, my dh is like
'whatever'....I really have tried. I just
doesn't work
No vacations over here. I'm hoping to get
my wisdom teeth pulled next month. I'll
have to use vacation days. Does that
count?

Shorty- How exciting to go on vacation for
three weeks. You are very fortunate to be
able to do that. I am kinda like Christy,
I can't do the whole spontinaity thing. I
can do it to a point, but I have to have
some game plan or I will go nuts. DH is
the same way so that's good.
I hope you have a wonderful time on your
vacation and enjoy all the sites. I have
driven across country 3 times in my life
and there are some beautiful parts of the
states!!! Hopefully you do come back
prego!!! How wonderful would that be?? I
say to heck with taking temps while on
vacation and don't even think about it.
As long as you and dh stay busy bd'ing,
then that might be your ticket!!!
I can kinda understand why your dh would
want to wait longer. Perhaps he is just a
little bit nervous about the sperm
analsis. My dh has said that he is
totally ok with it, but we are not even
close to that point so who knows what he
will be like when that comes around. I
can see him getting cold feet when it
comes down to it! ha ha!
Christy - my goodness girly I can't
believe you are still sane having that
long of a cycle. I bet you are just dying
for af to come just so you feel a bit more
regular. Have you finished your 10 days
of the progesterone (sp?)?
Take care girlies and shorty have a
fabulous vacation.
