33.4 Week Appt. Posted: 06-07-07 17:46pm
I had a doctor's appt today and the baby
is doing well. Still heads up with his
butt and feet on or near my bladder.
I have gained another...gasp...4 pounds.
My total weight gain is now 46 pounds! Am
I watching what I eat now?? Absolutely
not. How can I give up my favorite foods??
I deserve it. The baby deserves it. Of
course, I do get other side effects
besides weight gain...the fun heartburn at
10:00 pm every night without fail. Oh
well!!
I was at a friends house yesterday and she
watches an 18 month old about the size of
a 9 month (three months premature). My son
told me, "Mommy, you need to pick up the
baby - you need to hold the baby." I
picked up the little girl for a while and
my son got a little upset when I put her
down. He said, "Mommy, you need to hold
her more." The little girl wasn't crying
at all. He just wanted me to hold her.
This is a good sign!! Maybe he not be as
jealous when little Bryan comes??

Sounds like a great appt! You do deserve
to eat what you want!! I gained 40 and
.I'm struggling big time to get the final
10 off!!!
That is so cute that your son wanted you
to hold the baby. I'm sure he will be a
fantastic big brother. Only 6 weeks left!

is there any worry at all about whether
the baby will turn head down soon? My due
date's pretty close to yours and baby has
been head down for a few weeks now. The
doctor said it's very unlikely that the
baby will change position because there
isn't enough room to flip in there. She
showed me where baby's bum and head are so
I know when I'm touching my belly that
that's baby's little bum i'm rubbing. I'm
glad to hear that you're doing well! Not
much longer now!

Don't even think of giving up your
favourite foods!
I just had a massive weight gain in the
past week
8 pounds!!!
That puts me up to 38lbs weight gain!
but I only have 3 weeks left to go so
let's hope I slow down on the gaining...
but being on bedrest and all ... I doubt
that'll happen.
All I got is me and my mint chocolate
chip!
Nate Sounds so sweet! I bet he'll be the
best big borther ever!
He just look's like a sweethaert in his
pic and he sounds like one too!
Keep taking good care of yourself, your
almost there!

I have had a lot of ultrasounds and he has
seemingly been in the same position from
20 weeks on. I honestly have a feeling
that he will not turn around. His head is
just so high up! The doctor's office
stated that if he is not turned around by
my next appt. at 36 weeks, we may need to
start to consider options. I don't really
want to say c-section until I know for
sure. I heard some babies turn around at
the last minute but mine hasn't really
turned around at all for a very long time.
I will refuse if the doctors want to
manually shift him because I am freaked
out by the risks. His head has been in the
same place (upper left side of belly) for
at least 7 weeks now. Having a baby this
big in head up position is just so
strange. My bladder constantly feels
kicking and it sometimes feels as though
he is trying to grab my ribs. Very
strange. Even when he moves just a wee bit
I and other people can see him move
through my shirt!! It's pretty funny.
onmyway - you are so very close. 38 to 40
pounds weight gain total sounds perfect to
me!! Having a weight gain of 8 pounds in
one week would be completely shocking,
though! I would die if that happened to me
because I have gained so much already.
Actually, it probably will happen to me. I
have been getting up at 5:00 am for the
past three nights because I suddenly crave
cereal. I eat, go back to bed and then
wake up just to eat more cereal. How long
have you been on bedrest?

glad everything is going good.
my son kept changing postions up to my 38
week.(which could be because i had too
much fluid) they set a date up to try to
manual shift him but i went into labor the
night before and they stopped it and was
going to try to shift him the next day.
but they could not cause the cord was
around his neck. you know what that dumb
a** dr said go home and come back when you
are in labor and i will give you a
c-section i said i am not going anywhere
and a few hours later they did a
c-section.

The doctor wanted to send you home knowing
the cord was around the babies neck while
you were going into labor?? I would have
been livid! A nurse measured my fluid
levels today and just said that I looked a
little on the low side. She was using a
small handheld ultrasound, so I think it
was harder to measure. I guess we will
wait and see.
