Have All the Signs Or Pregnancy But My Test Are Negative Posted: 06-08-07 08:14am
The last period I had was March 20,2007. I
went and had my blood work done to make
sure I was ok. The test came back
negative. I called my mom and asked her do
we have any history of anything that could
prevent my cycle from coming down. Well
she informed me that she was pregnant with
me for 4 months before her blood test came
back positive. Well I don't know if that
is the same situation for me but if I am I
want a healthy baby and I know I need to
see and obgyn but I don't have insruance
so no one will help me. I went to the
emergency room a couple of times and they
told me I need to get an ultra sound. But
guess what without insurance you can not
get one.
PLEASE ADVISE

This isn't the correct forum for this
question, I'm sure it will be moved.
If you've had a blood test, you can rest
assured you are not pregnant. Sometimes
urine tests have difficulty picking up
hcg, but a blood test is not like that at
all, it is definitive. You are not
pregnant.
That said, you need to find out what is
wrong. The first place you should go is to
a family planning clinic and get a pap
smear, etc. Which you can get free of
charge at places like Planned parenthood.
Why did the er jump to the ultra sound? It
sounds like you'd actually just need to
see a doctor. A family doctor would do. He
would advise you on the next steps to
take.
A common misconception is that you can't
get medical testing without insurance. You
can. Ultrasound is readily available for
those without health insurance, you may
have to make arrangements to pay though.
But it is still available to you.
Go see a physician, even your family
physician and find out why you have missed
your period.
