Hello everyone...
I write you this message in grief in
faith.
My son Kaleb was rushed by ambulance to
the emergency room on Wed. after we picked
him up from the babysitters house. At UCH
they determined that Kaleb had a SubDural
Hematoma (His brain is bleeding). He then
was Bayflighted (helicopter) to Tampa
General Hospitals Pediatric Intensive Care
Unit on a Trauma Alert.
Doctors determined that Kaleb was shaken
while at the homecare he goes to. He is
suffering from Shaking Baby Syndrome.
When we first arrived at the hospital they
put a pressure gage into his head to
moniter the Intercranial Pressure (The
pressure that the brain is under due to
swelling and Bleeding). He wasn't doing
too well all day yesterday, his pressure
in his head was ranging between 29-40 and
the normal pressure is between 5-20. So
doctors decided that the best thing to do
was to put a tube into his brain to drain
spinal fluid from his ventricle. This
procedure was a sucess and brought the
pressure down.
Today however, they did a Cat Scan and saw
that Kaleb is now suffering from a stroke
and has formed a new bleed in the brain.
I beleive in Miralcles! I believe that
prayer works. I am asking you, all of my
friends, whether you know me well or not
to PLEASE pray for my little boy Kaleb. He
needs a miracle and we need your help!
I know some of you may not believe in
God... But he exists! And he's already
performed one miracle. Please I ask you, I
beg you, to Pray for my little boy and my
family. He is my everything.
i wish these things never happened.. there
are many other stories ive read and it
made me so sick.. im afraid to leave my
child with anyone! I dont know exactly
what to say about this! I know we all know
about sbs but i felt this story was sad
and should be read..

I went to the page and watched the video.
I am still crying from what I saw. Poor
little .Kaleb! This can actually happen to
a lot of our babies. We put all of our
trust in people watching our children. I
don't know about this woman, but many can
pass background checks and have great
recommendations...just to have something
like this happen. This just saddens me so
much, yet angers me. This woman was only
put on a $5000 bail!!

that is so sad i dont understand how
anyone can shake a baby no matter how
stressed they get, i look at my little
girl and even when she was having such a
bad time with her intolerance thing and
crying constantly and refusing to eat
shaking her still never once crossed my
mind
when shes like that i still know what a
wonderful precious little child she is and
how perfect she is (at least in my eyes)
and her smile and her laugh (yeah shes
been smiling and laughing since about 8
days, no kidding)tand
man i just dont understand it

i went to the myspace page, that is so
sad. he's such a beautiful little boy.
... maybe i'm just crazy, but if that was
rowan that babysitter would have already
been dead. i would seriously have killed
her myself. but like i said, i'm crazy.
that poor family.

i'm afraid to go to the page, i don't want
to be sad again... but i agree with tanya,
if someone ever shook my baby they would
be dead.
even when i was watching tessa and i was
soooo stressed because she kept screaming
and screaming i would never ever shake
her, i can't even imagine. i was upset but
i can't imagine ever being that mad.

.anger has nothing to do with harming a
child. .it is just evil what that
babysitter did and .i can not believe that
she is out of jail on 5,000 dollar bond.
.how can any judge set the bond so low for
such a horrible crime?

it truly makes me sick and very upset.. i
agree with everyone.. im sure if that
happened to me i would completely loose it
and hurt the person who hurt my baby! But
first i would cater to my child! Im so
nervous to ever put him in another
person's care that isnt family.. wow.. i
wish that some care takers would go
through tough trainning so that they can
understand the different situations with
children and to see if they are fit to be
a care taker!

that is just sad, i read that on myspace,
makes me not wana leave me kids with
anyone i dont know, wich the only time
people ever watched them is at night time
and they are asleep otherwise id be
stressing out. i had sever anxiety when my
gma watched jordynne while we went to the
amusement park. They have a commercial on
afn here about do not shake your baby, its
ok to let them cry, if u feel yourself
getting frustrated lay them in the crib
and walk away for alil where u cant here
them to get yourself back together, its
better to let them cry then to hurt them,
i really hope that poor boy pulls through
but jeez that lady i think should get life
but thats just my opinion. Joseph screamed
and screamed for hours on end the first 2
mths, never once did i ever want to shake
him, jason would take him for walks at
midnight to try and quiet him down, but i
had my mom and dad and him and my brother
so it was easy to have one of them take
over when i got overwhelmed. I think some
people are afraid to put the baby down and
let them cry for a min wich makes there
frustration worse wich is prob what
happened in that ladys case, if she woulda
just put him down and walked away and got
herself together i think none of this
woulda happened, is there apic of the lady
that did this or no?

I can't even watch or read anything that
has to do with it. It makes me so sad. I
am sitting here crying and I have not
even looked.  That
poor baby. I think the monster that did
it should be shaken

Hey I am really sorry to hear that about
your child. How can anyone say that they
are your friend and then do that to your
child?? I actually had a friend homicide
her own 6 month old baby girl. My best
friend was charged with it cause she was
trying to save the child. Until the cops
and everybody was done with the case. I
cryed when I watched your video. It hurts
real down inside to hear about it. It
makes me want to come and beat that
persons a** for doing that. I cant believe
that the judge only gave her a $5000 bond
to get out. That is bulls***.. WEll
hopefully he pulls through it. I will pray
for him everynight.
Try to take care you guys...

OMG
I saw this a few days ago.
I cried so hard during and after the
video.
I have Baby Kaleb and his family in
my prayers ever since.
My wishes go out that he pulls through and
that monster who did this is brought to
justuce.
Baby Kaleb is so strong and I wish all the
best.

One of my friends put this on a bulletin
last week and it brought me to tears. I
was literally crying my eyes out just
looking at the pictures.
It disguists me. I'm nausiated just
thinking about it!!
She will rott in hell!
