Whatch Think???

What do you think about getting a babies ears pierced? I am due in may and want to get my little girls ears pierced, but im not sure yet. I would always go to the mall and see babies getting it done and it looks like it hurts them alot because they cry and cry afterwards. My bf doesnt want me to and if I do it it will be with out him knowing about it. I think it would look cute, and it would be my babies birthstone. I want whats best for my baby, but this is like and accesory(sp). Its not a "must have" but it would look nice and I want my angel to look her best. So if you guys were having a girl what would you do, or if you have had a girl what did you do and why? Thanks!!!

I don't think its a bad idea, but you have to wait until she is at least 6 months old, but honestly I would just wait until she is like 2 or 3. But that is just a personal opinion!

I think its a great idea* my mom got mine and my little sisters done when we were only a few months old. I think its best, I mean they dont remember the pain long and sense their so young they dont know whats even comin then a few minutes later its over. It looks adorable. Plus, my mmom always said sometimes when their so young and have such short hair, having earrings makes it more obvious that its a girl right away. Lol* if I were havin a girl , I would but were pretty sure mines a boy*

The babies only have to have their first set of shots. Which is at 2 months if I remember correctly. They say that because incase they get an infection or anything from the piercing..Just wait to have shots to be on the safe side. I got my daughters done a day before her shots, I couldn't wait and I knew she was getting immunized the next day. Each piercing place is different as far as the ages they pierce. I went to the piercing pagoda in the mall and that was the only place I could find to do it so young. But please don't do it w/out telling your bf (if hes the dad). Believe me, I was going to do it that way also because jayden's dad didn't want her to have them done, but I talked him into it. It breaks a trust issue if you do it behind his back. And also, would you like it if he took her to get something done when she was that little knowing you didn't want it done?? Chances are..No. It took me months to talk steve into it. I was begging from the day I found out I was having a girl. He finally caved in and he loves her ears now!!! It is best to do them when they are young because they are easily distracted after the piercing and they stop crying quite quickly (jayden barely cried) keep a bottle handy!!! Also they don't play with them when they get to be a little older like some toddlers do. She would be used to them therefore you probably won't have problems w/her trying to get them out.
