Reading Sonogram with Halo Image Posted: 06-13-07 05:24am
Baby is very healthy. Had sono at 11.3
weeks and found a "halo" image near the
baby, but not touching it or my uterine
wall. Doctor baffled by this (a sono tech
didn't perform this test) and showed the
images to another doctor. He too, baffled
and said he never saw anything like it
either. I have seen this image online
several times with captions likes "aww
look, the baby looks like it has a halo
over its head".
Due to my doctor's seeing this as nothing
- to the point where they can't pinpoint
what it is, I am all over the net in
search of an answer from someone who has
seen this and knows what it is.
It seems that to be able to translate the
halo image near the baby, you'll need an
expert opinion from an obstetrician with a
lot of experience in ultrasonographic
diagnostics.
