pregnant after getting period ?
Posted: 06-13-07 23:55pm

Hello everyone ..... I am new to this forum. Need some advice here....

I have been ttc for abt 4 months now...2 months with the help of ovulation kit. Sad to say ...still no good news yet ....

Do it at the correct time with the ovulation kit ...but still not getting pregnant....sigh.... Sad

A few days ago my period just came ....so this month is out as well....but my period is a bit different this time .....much shorter and not as heavy as usual. For the lst day ...only have brown stain ......but the second day ....much like my normal period but a bit lighter .....then for the 3rd day .....brown stain again for the whole day .....then 4th day ....no more .....so wonder ...is this still considered a normal period ? pls advise...

Thanks.....

well i dont know if this might help you, but for what i have learned and read in this thing. it sounds like it can be inplantation, but dont get your hopes. If its an irregular period i recommend you to see your ob/gyn doctor because it can be bad. If nothing wrong and its just that your period might be changing then keep on trying to conceive.. good luck!

Thanks cee_88 for the advice.

I did thought of implantation in the first place... but mine seem to be a bit too heavy to be implantation bleeding. If I am not wrong ....implantation bleeding will be lighter or just spotting.

I will keep monitoring it and see how it goes..

My period are quite regular....(28 days cycle) and only this time round is much lighter and shorter than usual. So kind of worried abt it.

Hope it will not turn out to be something that will affect my chance of getting pregnant.

Will continue trying ...

Thanks alot ....

Good luck ttc. I have been ttc for 11 months now and nothing. I am about to try the ovulation test strips for the first time. I think maybe along with the monitor you should consider trying the strips.

I don't think that it is implantation bleeding. That is usually very light and you oonly see it when you wipe and it would barely use up a tampon or pad. It sounds like you just had a light cycle and I don't think you have anything to worry about. My cycles are never the same from month to month. One month it will be extrememly heavy and painful and then it will be very light the next few months and then heavy again. It is never the same.

I would suggest that you continue to use the opk and one you get a positive, start trying and try every other day for a week.

Also I just wanted to say that it takes a normal healthy couple on average 12 months to conceive, so in that aspect, you haven't really been trying for that long.

Good luck
