Echo Report Posted: 06-13-07 23:59pm
Hi all,
I am a 39 year old female with aoric
regurgitation. I found this out in 2005
but had some changes in echo done in 2006
it anyone can help me with the following
report, let me thank you in advance. The
inital test was done following an episode
of synope, which at that time they also
discovered an arachoid cyst in brain.
The heart did slightly enlarge in a years
time although still within normal range.
1. Aortic regurgitation went from mild to
moderate.
2. Restrictive pattern of LV diastolic
filling ( went from grade 2 to grade 3 or
4 dysfunction).
3. Estimated LV ejection fraction 60 to 65
%. (Last yr. was 55%, is this a good
change?)
4. Left ventricular size is normal.
5. Mild tricuspid regurgitation. (no
regurgitation last echo)
6. Mild mitral regurgitation. (no
regurgitation last echo)
7. Dilated right ventricle. (Not dilated
last echo)
8. Mild pulmonary regurgitation. (No
regurgitation last echo)
9. Elevated pulmonary artery systolic
pressure.
10. No LV thrombus.
I suffer from extreme fatigue, chest
tightness, shortness of breath upon
exercise or walking etc.
My doctor said the right side of my heart
was starting to fail and started me on 2
med.'s 5 pills a day. Should I be
worried? What does all this mean in
layman's terms. Anyone? Thanks for any
replies.
