Jill I agreee the small column was
difficult to read but overall I think im
going to be getting into some hot water
for replying to this post. I have to
agree 100% with kari, I dont think in
anyway teen pregnancy shuld be encouraged
by anyone. Sure if a teen has sex and
uses a condom and it breaks and they deal
with the situation well that are excellent
and should be giving a round of applause
and all the help and support in the world
for doing the right thing as well as
trying to prevent the pregnancy, but if a
teen decides to have a child I think that
is silly given they have so much ahead of
them, and granted they will have a
fulfilling life with a child and given
that some older ppl even those my age (24)
cannot take full responsibility for
raising a child but at least they have
better means to support a child.
This is a very controversial issue given
where it was posted and not taking
anything away from chanda because I think
every women has the power to be a good
mum, those that arent its because they
dont try and dont want to. Im sure she
will be an excellent mum one day but
chanda u r doing it for all the wrong
reasons, and wot has already been pointed
out just because u help ur mum, and look
after sisters and cousins and brothers, I
also have done this and it was hard, does
not mean that at 17 I was ready to be a
mum just because I knew how to take care
of child I have been raising my two sister
since I was 4 and my other sister is only
13months younger than me but that dont
mean I was ready. For those teens
baggign out kari I think its important to
see the other side of the story like the
one kari and myself are presenting.
Im sure we will all make excellent mothers
and good luck to all of us ttc, or
pregnant or have got our own little
bundles of joy on the way.
Oh for those pregnancies that were planned
like jordanmommy (she has the 6month old)
she was in a stable and well provided for
financial situation and it is these
situations that make the exception to the
rule. ( sorry to name names jordan I
didnt mean to bring u into the
controversary I was just trying to state a
point.
