Whistling

The wife of a man with Alzheimer's Disease has asked me is there anything she can do about her husbands constant whistling. It is ongoing day and night and is quite loud. She is finding it very hard to cope with it.

Maybe she can try to reirect him. Playing a game of checkers if he is still able or painting, coloring in coloring books. Something that requires hands on. Hope this helps. Smile

She can try giving him some sugar-free gum or sugar-free hard candies. Sometimes this works with the "yellers". Maybe it would also stop the whistling.
