Sharp Pain Trough My Lungs Posted: 06-15-07 00:00am


i know i dont have asthma. but sometimes while im sitting at home or eating dinner or just sitting anywhere i find it really hard to breathe. it feels like a sharp pain going through my lungs and like around my heart. sometimes my heartbeat increases and sometimes it doesnt. i really dont know whats wrong, can anyone help me?

does it feel like someone is squeezing your heart? If so, that's due to stress my doc told me. I thought i was going to have a heart attack it kept because it kept happening for a while, but i was put on anti-anxiety meds 9for other reasons) and it hasn't happened in a while. just try and breath through it, it will pass.

yeah, it does. sometimes it only lasts for a couple of breaths and others it lasts for hours.

I am dealing with that now and I was wondering the same thing. It feels like someone is stabbing me when I breath and my breathing is tight. I don't have asthma either, but I am REALLY stressed. What do I do?
