latent phase of labour Posted: 06-15-07 07:15am
I had an appointment with my midwife
yeaterday and she thinks i'm in the latent
phase of labour, she couldn't be sure
because she's used her last pair of gloves
at her last appointment so couldn't do an
internal check but from all of my symptoms
she said it's more than likely. She also
doesn't think i'm going to be late, she
said if i'm more than a few days late
shell be very very surprised. So it's all
promising news! I'm not getting my hopes
up though because at the end of the day
babies are unpredictable

were off having her already because you
weren't around for a bit. good luck, i hope
she doesn't make you wait too long and i
hope you have a great labour and delivery.

Personally i thought it was a classic
moment of the nhs! I don't really mind
though because if she had said that i'm
1-2cm i would jsut be sitting there
expecting to go into active labour right
away and if she had said i wasn't dilating
i would be al moody wondering why
