So, I have plenty of clothes now and only need a few more essentials for her then I want to wash it all. I'm getting her drawers in the next few weeks, and getting little drawer liners that smell of lavender to put in them but when would you advise washing it all, drying it and ironing it etc'? Like I know I'll do it, put it all away and keep touching it and looking at it lol. Cos I'm sad like that. Very Happy And shall I just wash it all? Or what she'll need for the first few weeks?

I would wash everything that will come in contact with baby's skin. You never know what the clothes, blankets, sheets, etc have come in contact with before you got them. I also don't know if .I'd use the Lavender drawer liners until she gets a bit older. To me that would be over whelming.

Thanks, I appreciate it. That was my plan but I wasn't sure. Oh and the lavender liners are like made out of thin crape paper stuff, they don't smell much at all. Just enough for her stuff to keep fresh. Very Happy

babies in my family typically have very very sensitive skin so i washed everything (bibs, socks, clothes, blakets, washcloths)
what i did was wash it with no detergent and ran it with an extra rinse...even the baby detergent made my niece break out and plus i have one of those high efficency washers that only takes one type of detergent

To be honest I didn't wash Brayden clothes before he was born..I hope that doesn't make me a bad person...

But we had no problems. Now we wash his clothes with Dreft and just dry it in the dryer with no fabric softner or anything.

I have a high efficency washer to and it says you can only use one type of soap but we still use Dreft for his clothes just in a smaller amount and it works just fine! Don't worry about using other soaps the main thing is just not to use the regular amount of other soaps!
