when do u start feeding them to your baby?
is there anything special i should know?
like wat kinds is ok and wats not? do
they sell it in jars? or do i make it from
our dinners? if so what about the spices
from our dinner? how would i mush meat up?
i feed jordynne meats the jarred gerber
stuff, she turns 6 mths on the 25th ive
only just started them yesterday, wich she
does pretty fine with them, they are
purreed down so its not like chunky or
anything they are the stage 2 foods. i
guess it depends on how well they did with
stage one fruits and veggies whether or
not u think u can go to the meats.

our pediatrician gave us the go ahead at 7
months. however, i didn't know there was a
specific age so i'd started them just
before that.
i don't know how you'd go about mushing it
yourself, i bought the jars. i read the
ingredients on the jars though and it
seems like you could put meat in the food
processor with some water and tomato paste
(maybe other veggies too, those 2 things
would just make it "soupier"). i don't
know about that for sure though since i've
never made baby food on my own.
i know they sell beef, chicken, turkey,
ham, and veal. they sell them as
"dinners", like turkey rice dinner or
chicken noodle. we actually skipped the
stage 2 and went right for the 3, since
finn likes texture and stage 3 dinners are
chunky.
as for spices, i don't know though i'd
stay away from salt. finn mostly eats our
food at dinner, i don't use a lot of
spices (just pepper usually), but he's had
spanish rice and jalapeno chicken sausage.
these aren't crazy spicy but the rice is
pretty hot, he doesn't seem to mind though
and they've never bothered his stomach.
have fun! give us an update when reese
tries them! finn *hated* the jarred beef
dinners.
ya all the jarred foods just have the meat
and water, on the ingredients i got the
mixed ones too she had the chicken with
sweet potatoes and all it ahs is those 2
ingredients plus water.

I oversee a home that has a lady that has
to eat pureed foods that are the texture
of honey. Staff in that home use the
magic bullet to get the foods the right
consistency. They puree everything,
steak, pork, chicken, hamburger, etc.

i don't think spices are a problem. chu's
never had a problem with any. i just
wouldn't introduce too many at once in
case of any allergies. and i do like b
and cut his salt.
I just started giving amelia meats...she
eats what I eat. I have never given her
the jar meats. Idont' eat a lot of meat
so it's just whatever and whenever I eat
it.
just keep in mind that meat is harder and
takes longer to digest than veggies and
fruits.
