HI!! I think you will be ok, just make sure (like you said) that you are careful not to get pushed around, etc..... Loud music over a long period of time can be harmful to baby (over a certain decibal level) but I think if you are far away from a speaker and only there for the concert, you should be ok. PLay it by ear, see how you feel and leave if anything feels "wrong" or you are not comfortable. Other than that, I would say be careful and have a good time!!!

So, I went last night. Sold my ticket to a mate and hanged around outside cos I just couldn't bring myself to go in. Stupid I know but it was too loud for me let alone baby so didn't bother.

Seriously girl i am dying to go to a gig again, i was meant to be going to one last novemeber but i'd just found out i was pregnant and was feeling crappy so didn't go. And now one of my favourate bands are coming over from the us and the closest gig near me is the 7th july so i can't go to that either! What sucks the most is that they're never planning on coming back to the uk to tour after this one

You should have gone. Lots of women go to concerts and it doesn't hurt anything. I actually think most babies like the music and vibration.

i just went to the TOOL concert it was great! My brother bought me the tickets for my birthday over a month ago.

I think music/ concerts are ok as long as you are not bellied up to the speakers (although that was my fav place to be in a small venue)

This was along time ago, but when I sang in a rock band up until I was 8 months pregnant. Next month I hit the big 50. My daughter hears perfectly fine...but me, I have 30% hearing loss in both ears now and will need hearing aids. Loud music will definatly cause permanent damage. Vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, even blenders.....I wear ear plugs now for just about any type of noice. I for one am proud you decided to stand outside and not take the chance on something happening....this shows responsibility and unselfishness. You are gonna be a great Mom!

ohh i love tool. i don't know that i would have gone at the stage i'm at though. i've been to one of their concerts and it was looooud. when exactly do they start hearing things anyway? around 27 weeks or so? i'll have to look that up.

i used to go clubbing when i was pregnant but obviously the music isn't as loud as a gig. now my babies love music. so i guess they loved it in the womb too

it was loud, but the thing i was mildly concerned about was the distinctive smell wafting from a few rows away... not that i was surprised that much just the smell made me feel sick.
