this is my second pregnancy. The first
one i had a miscarriage ( i had the
miscarriage of december 2006) and i was
really deppressed about it so me and my
boyfriend decided to try to have another
and i finally got pregnant again. Should
i wait until i'm 8 weeks to make a doctors
appointment or should i go to my doctor as
soon as possible. I just dont want to
have another miscarriage it was horrible.

I am sorry for your loss. But,
congratulations on your pregnancy!
I suggest that you call your doctor now,
and ask them if they want you to come in
right away or if you should wait.
Do you know what caused your first
miscarriage?

i'm not totally sure but about a week
before i found out that i was pregnant i
donated blood to the red cross so i dont
know if it was that or not.

yeah i would start my prenatal care asap.
if they know you had a miscarriage before
they can watch for certain things and give
you some advice that may help avoid
another one. congratulations! i hope
your pregnancy goes really well for you
this time.
you're 5 weeks and i've got 5 to go!
seems like just yesterday i was 5 weeks.

last oct we lsot a baby at 9 weeks so id
advise you go,when i fell pregnant this
time i knew straight away i was pregnant
so i saw my midwife at 5 weeks

that everything looks good and in two
weeks he is going to do an ultra sound

I am about 5 weeks as well after a
miscarriage on March 26th. My OB feels
that monitoring my hormone level will
cause me more stress then good and prefers
that I wait until week 8 to do a
ultrasound. Of course, I can have the
blood work done if I choose. My husband
thinks I should just wait. Unsure what to
do.

it depends. If your worried about having
another miscarriage get the tests done,
but if you feel like you can wait a couple
weeks just to make you not stressed out
then wait. I want to get my levels tested
bc having a miscarriage was the worst
thing but i'm not worrying about having
another miscarriage bc this pregnancy is
different from my last. If you feel its
more stressful not knowing then you should
get the test done! Good luck
