Baby Drop

how soon can the baby "drop"? it can be
gradual right? i can't sleep tonight, my
groin and the muscles on my lower belly
are killing me. it's not braxton hicks
it's just muscle pain like my belly is way
too heavy. i'm waddling around holding my
belly like a cavewoman. also, the baby's
butt is sticking way out in the front but
to the left side, so i'm all lopsided and
my belly button is killing me. i am
amazed that i haven't had any heartburn
tonight, i just wish i could sleep. i'm
going to take all of these things as good
signs that the baby is working down in the
right direction though. i just don't know
how soon the baby can drop before you go
into labour. i've heard 2 or 3 weeks
sometimes?
* oh yeah, i'll be 36 weeks on monday.

like i had to carry my belly when i walked
lol it sucked and id get stabbing pains
out of no where and had to stop in my step
and wait for it to go away. not much
longer to go for you!

I think you are right on target. Ha ha!! I
am also waddling around like a cave woman.
I feel the same about my baby. I am going
to the doctors this morning. I think the
baby is a footling breech. I can literally
feel the feet below my pelvic bone, if
that's even possible. The feet are so low
that I am amazed my water hasn't broken.
I have been in pain this last week as
well. It's horrible!!
I am right there with you and we are
practically due the same day!!!

Nope. I refuse to try a vaginal birth with
a breech baby. I just wrote my update in
the 35.4 week post.

I remember when I told my Dr. "I think the
baby dropped!" and he raised his hands and
started jumping around the room going "
 where?!?! I don't
see it anywher?!?!?" bwahahahaha! He
seriously thought he was a comedian!
Anyways, a big sign that you can tell if
the baby dropped is if you can breathe a
little better!
soon soon soooooon!!

I know that I am only 30 weeks but
sometimes I swear he has dropped already.
Only reason though is because my heartburn
just stopped one day and I haven't had it
since. I can carry on a conversation now
without huffing an puffing too! Lol, I
haven't been able to do that for awhile.

I swear, he was *fuuuullll* of cheesy
jokes!!
On my ultrasounds he would write "you are
pregnant"...I was like 28 weeks...ya don't
say!!!! lol!
When I would get my pap smears done, he'd
tell the nurse "oh man, look at her face!
ha! I know girl, I Hate having to get
these done!!" it would break the tension
of being swabbed, but it god old after a
couple months!
lol...I'm kinda glad I don't have him this
time around!

I'm 40 week on saturday and i'm only
measuring 33, anything 3cm either side is
considered normal it's just a guide
really. If the hea'd well into the pelvis
then baby's proberly on her way to
becoming fully engaged. if your dr's not
worried then you shouldn't be, i had to go
for an extra scan at 30 weeks because my
daughter's measuring so small

my son dropped when i was about 32wks. it
was really obvious. i could breathe soo
much better, & my belly felt like 200x
heavier, & it started hanging out of
my shirts! .it
doesn't always mean labor is right around
the corner, though.. i delivered 1 day
before my due date!

I'm 39 weeks on Saturday and she still
hasn't fully dropped.
All though my doctor say's she's dropping,
she's just taking her sweet ass time, I'm
lucky right now I only have pressure on my
chest when Im slouching and she isn't on
my bladder yet.
She's still hammering at my ribs, and now
digs into my hips fun
little one she is!
Beth - your measuring as big as someone
should be at 34 wks ... or are you 34cm?
or is it the same thing?
I'm confused.
I measure 38cm yesterday, and im 39 weeks
sat.
I thinka fter a certain point the
measurments arent accurate anymore because
of the position of the baby.

I am now measuring a week behind and the
nurse told me the same thing. She stated
that it is most likely due to the position
of the baby and not that the baby is
actually smaller than he should be.

Mika first started to drop at around 35
weeks, all of a sudden i woke up and could
breathe properly, since then she's
gradually got lower and lower and it now
100% engaged, so out you come sweetie!

My midwife said that my fundal height
(sorry, probs incorrect spelling!) is only
measuring 34 weeks. Im quite petite myself
tho, so i wudnt have thought i wud have a
huge baby!! Lol. x
