Slept w/ prostitute & used a condom : what is HIV risk ? Posted: 06-22-07 04:48am
i had sex with a prostitute with condom
and condom breaks a little and i change it
with new one , (in just 2 -3 seconds),
I scared tooo much and depressed lot and
feel so tired
after 4 weeks i got my nagetive test and
after 6 weeks i find that girl and get her
test which is also nagetive
but i m feeling bad and headache and pain
in throat and tonsills ( I had some
problem of tonsills two year back also)
Is this is due to HIV
and how much there is risk that i m
infected with HIV
please help

If the condom broke and you replaced it
immediately with another one there are
very little chances for getting any sexual
transmitted disease including HIV. You can
take another test 3 months after exposure
because this is the “window” period
during which the antibodies appear to
fight off possible infection (an HIV test
looks for antibodies in your blood). It
doesn’t seem likely to me that that
tonsillitis is due to an HIV-infection
because if this is true, then the
HIV-test would have been positive.
