Pain - Complaining Vent Posted: 06-22-07 10:50am
I think all of us who are due in the next
four to five weeks are experiencing
extremely similar symptoms. I feel I am
getting ready to start my period at any
moment. TMI: My mucous has changed to that
gelatinous gross stuff. I am not expecting
too much of a mucous plug because of my
water breaking at 13 weeks - unless it
grew back?? I don't have actual cramps.
Also, when I walk, I have a lot of pain in
my pelvic area..not cramping, I am sure
it's just normal pain that is due to my
body getting ready. My ribs kill because
of where the babies head is and my
heartburn was so bad last night I
literally started to gag...isn't that
wonderful. Gosh, we are so close but seem
so far away. I wasn't even effaced or
dilated when I was induced with Nathan
about 9 days after his due date. I am
already thinning and dilated with this
one. I was never in any pain with nathan.
Perhaps if this one actually flips, then
the labor won't be so bad because my body
is already preparing.
For the past week or two, my belly has
been in the way of opening doors and
moving about. It's pretty funny. I don't
realize I am out that far and try to do
normal daily activities and "poof" there
it is..in the way.
We are moving this weekend, so wish us
luck!!! I am packing some items but won't
be moving anything. My husbands parents
are coming in to help us along with my
husbands boss and her husband. I will be
just sitting around, directing and hoping
they pack the van well.

ohhh i don't envy you having to move right
now! i hate moving with a passion. it's
my least favourite thing in the world.
even if you don't have to lift anything
i'm sure it's a lot of work for you. i
hope your family takes good care of you.
i hear you on the pain thing though and
the big belly. i almost burned my belly
when i was cooking dinner the other day
because i didn't realise that it was
practically touching the hot stove!!
your doctors down in the states must be so
thorough. it always seems like you ladies
down there get more appointments,
ultrasounds, and they check you more often
than they do up here. or maybe it's just
my doctor in particular. i think most of
our docs here are really busy and
overbooked. or maybe it's because of your
water breaking before. i think the mucous
plug grows back even when it's starts to
shed. i hope you do okay with your
moving! take it easy and don't work too
hard.

I can totally sympathise with you! I am 34
weeks and my ribs are killing me!! (and my
baby is supposedly the right way round! it
just must have a boney butt!) I have to
walk about 20mins to take my son to
playgroup everyday and then pick him up
again a few hours later and its getting
difficult because of pelvic pain too!
I have took to drinking a pint of milk at
about 5 every evening to stop the
heartburn before it starts and so far its
stopped it!
I dont get half the tests you guys do
either. I have been pretty much left to my
own devices since getting pregnant, just
the normal checks, blood pressure etc.
Heres hoping the move is easy and stress
free. Take it easy hun!

only if im lucky!!
we have lots of help so i plan on just
sitting and watching the men do their jobs
lol. luckily we are only moving to a
place about 45 minutes away though. i
need to get a new doctor too which im a
little nervous about. well i dont have to
but im at the point right now where i want
to and this way i can get a doctor from
the hospital which is 10 minutes away from
our house. im actually thrilled because i
finally get to finish setting up .bree's
nursery which ive been itching to do for
the past 5 months!
