So i called about the yeast infection thing and they did exactly what i thought they would, told me to wait until my next appointment and they will do a vaginal exam. So seeing as how my midwife is only there one day a week to take appointments and everytime i go in i have to wait over an hour to be even seen i have to wait out all weekend being very sore and uncomfortable. Although i told her about what has happened to Brian and she didnt seem surprised so i guess it means no more sex for us.

Then... I have some girl on here messaging me cussing me out about what i said on a post weeks ago about the baby caleb... so i want to go on the record one more time saying

i am very very sorry for the family. what happend to them was awful and i have .e.m.p.a.t.h.y for their struggles (and yes i know the difference between empathy and sympathy) it was just the third time i had seen it posted on this forum alone and not to mention have gotten emails, was asked for money , heard non stop on myspace, facebook and every other form of internet. I was trying to make a point that i wish we could give our support to more families. so for everyone who is messaging me please back off... i dont care about your opinions. im very pregnant, very hormonal and frankly do not care about what your opinion of me is. (and thanks to all of you talking about my unborn child and how you feel sorry for them.. please keep picking on pregnant people, it makes you a bigger person)

firstly yeast infections suck!!! I have suffered over the past few years with them, getting them literally every couple of months, I have been tested for everything and done everything I can to stop them returning and believe me they still come back!.
Since I have been pregnant I have had one constantly! Everytime I am prescribed something it goes away for like a week and then its back again!!! Grrrrr! because I have .G.B.S think my doctor wants to treat that now just in case its responsible... So I feel for you hun!! Sad

and as for the other post you commented on, I read what you wrote and I could see your point... some people just like to pick. Dont worry to much about it. Smile

Take care and if your in pain down below try having a salt bath it can help! Smile

salt bath.. thanks!!

ahh ive never really had them so i have no clue what to do. my mom gets them all the time. the only thing that worries me is that the nurse said it might be some sort of infection and thats why id have to have the vaginal exam done. i guess there not real concerned about it though, but i am.

im just irritated because it was like weeks ago and i pretty much just want to move on, which is why im trying to make it more clear what i meant in this post. i guess i just dont see the point in messaging me about it.

dont nurses and doctors really annoy you at times!! She tells you there might be an infection then says you have to wait till next week for an exam Evil or Very Mad Seriously its just like my doctor.... I phoned up the midwife in tears the other day because my doctor was an arse... luckily the midwives here are lovely and she got everything sorted for me!!

There is absolutly no point in people messaging you over what was said! Like I said some people like to start arguements, you would think that people would have some common sense and give you a break when your so close to having baby!! Smile

That's crazy that they are making you wait! I have called before to say that I have a yeast infection and they tell me to come in as soon as I can. My dr knows how uncomfortable they can be so I guess she feels bad for me. I get them so often now that they just call in my prescription and I go pick it up. I guess my dr realized that I know whenever I haev a yeast infection. I went in allot and everytime I had one so I think that she trusts me. Besides, why would I take diflucan if I didn't have one. Lol!

I feel for you though!

i think if my doc put me off like that i would see someone else on the side. it's not really baby related right? so you could see someone else to treat it? i dunno just an idea. i'm sure my doc would probably see me right away if i told her that story.

is that lady still going on about the shaken baby post? was that you? i just remember someone saying someone was gonna burn in hell or some such nonsense lol. if she is harrassing you they could probably ban her or something. i mean, it's one thing to disagree on somethings but some people take it to extremes. Confused Sad

Sorry about the infection.
For the weekend you should just try some topical canesten cream ...
see if that helps with the irritation.

As for the people messaging you. When I saw that post , I totally understood what you were saying... You weren't being harsh towards that family, but what about all the other families that have or are enduring the same thing...
It's very sad that the media and society usually only have one sob story at a time that they focus on... and all the other bad things that happen to tons of other good people during that time just go unheard and unnoticed.
screw.em!
people messaging are just looking into what you posted with blank brainwashed minds.
don't let them get to you hun ... especially when you have so much else bugging you right now!

thanks guy! to be honest the only opinions i really care about it yours..

it was some other girl messaging me. i guess i just wanted to get it out there that being cussed at and told how wrong i am isnt going to make me apologize to her or the world.

yeah im really mad at the doctor. everytime i go in i wait for over an hour in a very crowded office only to be seen for 3 minutes and told everything is great. how do you know its fine if you barley even look!!!
it seems like all they want to do is see as many clients as possible so they can collect money from the insurance. its frustrating when you feel like they dont really acknowledge or frankly care about your needs.

You like read my mind.
My doctor just said "throw some canesten on it" didn't even look.
didn't even listen to a word I said and I mean literally cut me off by saying "No ... no ... it's fine"
Well turns out I have a brutal infection.
It just scares me because he's aleways been that brisk with me, Now it's like "okay, so what have you missed?"
So nest Wednesday is my last appointment, Im making a HUGE list of questions and i'm taking my cousin with me... she's much more demanding when it comes to docotrs, I'm kind of a push over when it comes to doctors and dentists etc.
And if that man tries to friggen brush me off, Im not gonna be happy. It's my last appointment (hopefully) and I have questions that I need answers to. period.

sorry I just took a mini rant of my own in your post Vanessa... you just got me thinking and all frustrated over dumb doctors all over again! Laughing

Me too. I feel like all I do is complain right now. Waiting for the doctors is just so frustrating. I don't have to wait long with this pregnancy because I see a perinatologist. With the last pregnancy, I usually had to wait at least an hour for a 5 minute visit.

I think we are both just extremely hormonal, easily irritated people right now. I have to go to dinner with my husband's parents and it will take all of my strength to not say something I will regret. If they say one thing to get me mad, I will probably go off!

I called my doc c/o a yeast infection and she told me to get monistat cream and use it as prescribed, she said it wouldn't hurt me or the baby. I was about 35 weeks at the time. It helped 100%. She may be talking about bacterial vaginosis, which they say is common in pregnancy. It used to be thought of being a form of an std, but now they know it's caused by an overgrowth of something brought on by stress, and pregnancy is a huge stress as we all know.

As for your messenger, you had every right to say what you said. I feel bad too about what is said to have happened to the little boy, but there are lots and lots of babies that have unfortunate things happen to them and we don't hear about them.
They will go to .Hell for bugging you about it. LOL

lol.. thanks cindy!

yeah im hoping its nothing but ive used cream treatments before and im not sure if it went away and came back or just didnt go all the way away. I just want to be sure i dont have a uti and to be honest im just pissed about not being able to have sex. im one of the rare females that still enjoys it this late in pregnancy plus im all about inducing labor and have heard that its the only thing that actually has any chance of working.

karin- that is exactly where im at right now.. i wait for at least a full hour everytime.. i know its awful but i almost wish i had something wrong or abnormal about me just so i could get attention and better care then im getting right now. hahah and it does take everything in me not to go off on poor random people. it is just too hot to be pregnant right now and i honestly cannot even sit upright right now because my belly is just too big and she hasnt dropped an inch!

Yucky Yeast Infections
Hey Vanessalouanne sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable. I think that it is probably a yeast infection because I always have Bacterial Vaginosous and nothing has ever happened to my dh like what happened to yours. I have had 3 yeast infections since starting this pregnancy and I am only 15 weeks so I feel your pain.

I just wanted to tell you of a couple of things that can help you to feel better.

1. Start eating plain all natural yogurt that doesn't have any sugar in it. Eat about a cup a day. Yeast bacteria thrive an sugar so trying to cut back on sugar all together will help to. They say that a yeast infection actually starts in your intestines so you should treat there as well and eating yogurt will fight off all the bad bacteria.

2. Also I know that this may sound weird but take a clove of garlic, peel it but make sure that there aren't any nicks on it at all, then wrap it in gauze an insert it in your vagina (yes I said vagina lol) leave it there overnight. Your breath may smell like garlic in the morning but trust me you will feel better. You might have to do it again if your infection is really out of control. Just remember to make sure NO NICKS in the clove of garlic because it makes the garlic more potent and it can cause it to burn. Yeast hate garlic. I did this for my yeast infection and it worked for me. I was skeptical at first and my dh laughed at me but I was tired of not feeling like myself.

3. Also make sure that you are really dry after your shower. I air out all the time because when there is a bit of moisture there it creates heat and yeast love heat (breading ground) Think of it as practice for after you have the baby because you will have to air dry everyday if you have any stitches done there. Also sleep without any underwear on. I have done this ever since my last infection and I haven't had another one. Again it helps with keeping it nice and cool.

Sorry for the long post but i just thought that I would try to help you out a little. I know how uncomfortable yeast infections can be.

Feel free to pm if you have any questions. My name is Shannah.

Good luck and I hope that you are feeling better soon.
