Hey Vanessalouanne sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable. I think that it is probably a yeast infection because I always have Bacterial Vaginosous and nothing has ever happened to my dh like what happened to yours. I have had 3 yeast infections since starting this pregnancy and I am only 15 weeks so I feel your pain.
I just wanted to tell you of a couple of things that can help you to feel better.
1. Start eating plain all natural yogurt that doesn't have any sugar in it. Eat about a cup a day. Yeast bacteria thrive an sugar so trying to cut back on sugar all together will help to. They say that a yeast infection actually starts in your intestines so you should treat there as well and eating yogurt will fight off all the bad bacteria.
2. Also I know that this may sound weird but take a clove of garlic, peel it but make sure that there aren't any nicks on it at all, then wrap it in gauze an insert it in your vagina (yes I said vagina lol) leave it there overnight. Your breath may smell like garlic in the morning but trust me you will feel better. You might have to do it again if your infection is really out of control. Just remember to make sure NO NICKS in the clove of garlic because it makes the garlic more potent and it can cause it to burn. Yeast hate garlic. I did this for my yeast infection and it worked for me. I was skeptical at first and my dh laughed at me but I was tired of not feeling like myself.
3. Also make sure that you are really dry after your shower. I air out all the time because when there is a bit of moisture there it creates heat and yeast love heat (breading ground) Think of it as practice for after you have the baby because you will have to air dry everyday if you have any stitches done there. Also sleep without any underwear on. I have done this ever since my last infection and I haven't had another one. Again it helps with keeping it nice and cool.
Sorry for the long post but i just thought that I would try to help you out a little. I know how uncomfortable yeast infections can be.
Feel free to pm if you have any questions. My name is Shannah.
Good luck and I hope that you are feeling better soon.
