Abdominal Pain...again...
Posted: 03-04-04 04:39am

Well it happened again. I woke up the other morning and couldn't get out of bed, every movement felt like a knife moving around. I had to get my son to "bring mommie the phone" so I could call my sister for help. I decided to just take the same heavy duty pain drugs doc gave me last time I went into emergency for the exact same thing. Of course my sister looked after my little son for I was knocked out for the rest of the day.

I'm frustrated that this keeps happening and it's just being called a might be simple ovarian cyst. Tommorow i'll go see the doc... Again... Let him know what's happened, and hope my ultrasound results will finally show that this is not just in my head.

I probly should have went into emergencie immedietly, (i'm still hurting but it's eased up a great deal) but I was left feeling like a big baby the last time (2 months ago) like I was waisting time, when all I "needed" was a few "drugs" to kill the pain,

i'm venting and frustrated... Anyone else feeling like this???????????
And could this be more than just an "ovarian cyst"?

If the ultrasound does not show anything, and all other tests do not show anything, ask your doctor about endometriosis(sp?). It can cause pain like that. Also, cysts hurt, but not normally that severely unless it bursts, which it could have. I think mine burst a couple of months ago(it is the only thing I could think of that may have happened) and I honestly thought I was going to die. But the next day, it still hurt, but not nearly as bad. Good thing I was drinking when it happened or it would have hurt that much worse.Lol.
But seriously, talk to your doctor about the above disease. A lot of women have it and it causes all kinds of different mild or severe pain. You can also look it up on the internet to find information about it on your own. I hope you two feel better.

Rolling Eyes .And 6 months later guess what,,i was back in surg. To get that out also..Now 2 weeks ago I was in severe pain in left side again..They found 5x4 cystic mass so another surg. To be sceduled...Dont cyst have to be attached to something..If so what could it be attached to ..Feels like same place ovarie was..Anyone have a clue how many times this could come back and why?..Hope you guys feel better soon

Some people are prone to cysts for no reason. It stinks. But, you could ask your doc if you have endometriosis (sp?) but, if you have already had surgery I would think he would have seen that already. But who knows. Yes, I thought cysts had to be attached to something, but I don't know. Maybe they are just attached to the area where your ovary used to be? I dunno. I hope you feel better though. Let us know how your surgery went.
P.S. What did it feel like when your cyst burst? Or began to anyway? I had one on my right ovary (may still) and I think it burst once, but no one seems to know what the signs of that are. Do you know?

Do you know if its an ovarian cyst?
Because if the pain is in the lower abdomen. I had the same problem several years ago and went to the emergency room a couple of times and I had an ultrasound, they couldnt find anything. So finally when I went to the emergency room I had a cat scan and I know this is going to sound kinda funny but its really not, I was full of poop. I was completely full, constipated. Its a really serious problem, I have to have tons of fiber and it still doesnt always help. But thats exactly how it feels, like someone stabbing you and twisting the knife. But if your taking painkillers and their actually taking the pain away, I dont know if it would be the same problem, because they gave me morphine in the hospital and it didnt take the pain away.
I just thought I would share that because thats exactly how I felt when I had my "problem" I like to call it, but good luck and I hope you find out what it is.
