Well, I read it more as "miscarriage is
just one of those things you risk when you
try to get pregnant". But I do take
offense to the ho-hum way she dismisses
it, like it isn't a big deal. "it's just
part of being a mommy" is something I
would say to someone who gets stretch
marks, not someone who has had a
miscarriage.

Not to jump to nightangel's defense or
anything, but she is an immigrant and her
.english is not always so precise. Based
on the impassioned way she feels about
issues such as abortion, I'm sure she
wouldn't minimize anyone's experience with
miscarriage. I read it the way .Aya did,
too.

I think nightangel meant that the fact
that miscarriages can occur makes it all
the more thrilling when you do
become a mommy because it is such a
precious achievement. That's how I took
it anyway.
