evazenoni...I am curious about what comes
back from your dr appt.'s. I have had very
similar experiences for several years.
I've also had mild to moderate
difficulties with anxiety and depression.
It's a slippery slope from all directions!
It is tricky because anxiety and
depression can mess with our cycle, but
having a messed up cycle sure messes with
my mind and hormones too! They say that
thyroid is really related to all of this.
I have been doctoring w/a great internist
for a year or so and just found a
specialist to work with the perimeno and
other complications...but my internist
just sent a letter that she quit . She
is really encouraging me to take care of
the physical first now that I have a basic
sense of how to take care of my emotions.

I went through menopause at 37. It took
about 2 weeks. I've only had a couple of
periods since then, induced by rx given by
my gynecologist. He didn't really buy the
early menopause (or that it went by in 2
weeks) until he did a blood test. It
really seems to bother him more than me.
I have gained a little weight which I need
to lose but I certainly do not mind being
completely through the menopause thing. I
really have no other symptoms.

I say consider it a blessing if you are.
I'm 24 and I cant wait for menopause!
Kind of like a kid counting down the days
till summer vacation. Just be sure that
it really is menopause, and not a
reproductive health problem causing the
symptoms - go see your doctor- seriously.

I went to read to read on symptoms of
menopause and I found I have observed a
number of them myself at 35. But I don't
think I'm into early menopause at all but
think that many of those symptoms well it
just happen as you get into your 30's.
Like I do have noticed that of my bladder
not being to hold as strong as when I was
25 and I definetly get more headaches now
than when I was 25. My vaginal secretions
have definetly decreased compared to when
I was 25 and I definetly get tired more
easy than when I was 25. Not hot flashes
thought. But does all this mean early
menopause?? My periods are still regular
oh well I'm on the pill hehe. So how can
you tell right? So I guess it boils down
to not having a period or not being able
to get pregnant to detect for early
menopause.
Early or premature menopause is defined as
menopause before the age of 40. Premature
ovarian failure, surgery, and chemotherapy
may all result in early menopause. About
one in a hundred women may experience
early menopause; some may be teenagers or
in their twenties. Symptoms of early
menopause tend to be very similar to those
of normal menopause. Changes in the timing
and duration of menstrual periods and hot
flashes are common.

Early menopause often creeps up on women
in their forties in uncomfortable ways. It
may leave them feeling like they are
suffering from a chronic, if mild, case of
the flu. It can wreak havoc on their
emotions by precipitating severe mood
shifts; and it can leave them absolutely
bewildered about why they are feeling as
they do.

Early menopause symptoms are sometimes not
recognized as women in their 20s, 30s or
40s are not suspecting that menopause
could be happening to them so early in
their life. Menopause on average happens
to women around the age of fifty.

If the symptoms you described could only
be linked to early menopause, my period
would have stopped when I was 28!! You are
probably just stressed. (Insomnia will do
that to ya!) If it continues for a couple
of months, get yourself into the
gynecologist and explain. My guess is
stress, not early menopause. You are far
too young for that.
