How low are your fluids? Did they give you
a number? Did they give you any more
information or just that?

I honestly think your baby will be fine. I
am on a "Premature rupture of membranes"
website and some of the women have been
leaking throughout pregnancy. Most of
their levels are dangerously low at two.
They would love to have a fluid level of
five. Five is low but as long as your
child had good fluid levels for the lung
development, he or she should be alright.
If your fluid levels were seven before,
then I do think you baby will be fine. Of
course, I am not an expert but I have been
reading about fluid levels for the last
six months on my other website.
I can see why you are concerned, though.
It is natural to be worried. At least they
were able to catch it now. Were they going
to try to manually turn the baby but found
out your fluid levels were low?? Do they
suspect that is the reason why your baby
is breech?? Just curious. I am now
wondering about myself. I am 36 weeks and
my baby is breech. My water broke at 13
weeks but resealed. They haven't measured
my fluid levels at all recently. I will
find out tomorrow or during the "turning"
on monday.
Try to hang in there. I know it is so hard
not to be worried but I hope you can at
least get some sleep before Friday.

you should have them check your fluids,

hadnt turned, so they decided to check the
levals and thats probably wy she hasnt
turned ! she needs that fluid to help her
move around in there ! but thank you for
responding and ill keep in touch ill let
you guys know in a few weeks what happend
and how my baby is doing ! ill probably
have her by friday.

darnit. i just wrote a big long post and
i lost it.
i think that low fluid, if they can't
account for any leakage or loss any other
way, can sometimes be an indicator that
the baby isn't producing enough fluid,
which in turn can signal some kind of
problem with kidneys or bladder function.
i don't know how common that is but i'm
sure your doc is just being careful about
it. low fluid can also increase the risk
of club foot if left too long and cord
prolapse during vaginal delivery.
i can imagine it must be pretty stressful
to be told you are going in on friday with
so little time to get used to the idea.
i'm sure the doc just wants to be on the
safe side and is keeping you and baby's
best interests at heart. i feel for you.
i am 36 weeks and a couple of days myself
and it could happen to any of us i guess.
come on here and vent to us anytime if you
feel it will help you deal. i really hope
everything goes well with the delivery.
keep us posted on that and do your best
not to stress, just try to go with the
flow!!

My husband and his father had clubbed feet
when they where born. Basically the foot
is fixated in an extended, flexed
position, rotated inward position and
requires surgery to repair [mod note: this
condition does not always require
surgury].
My husband and his father are living proof
that it is not something you cannot over
come they get around just fine we just
have to tell our doctor when we finally
get pregnant and one sticks because the
chances of us having a child with the same
problem are high.

oh my gosh. i'm sorry i hadn't responded
to this earlier. i'm glad someone with
some info did anyway. i don't know a lot
about club foot but i know it's one of the
things they check for immediately after
the baby is born and when they do
ultrasounds. it's when the baby is a
little too cramped in the womb as far as i
know. the little feet can get be bent
inwards because they didn't have room to
grow properly. i'm pretty sure it is
something that can often be fixed before
the baby is able to walk. they put a
series of casts on the baby's feet to
stretch them in the right direction while
they grow so that they will grow straight.
i think the parents have to also do some
physio as far as stretching and moving the
feet. in severe cases they will do
surgery. that's about all i know about
it. i hope i didn't scare you by saying
that but it is something that doctors try
to watch very carefully for so i'm sure
they are looking out for it and that might
be a reason they are concerned. good
luck. i'm sorry i didn't respond to your
question earlier after being the one to
mention it, but this post got lost in the
shuffle somewhere.
