If she started the pill on the first day
of her cycle, I wouldn't worry. Most
pills are effective immediately if she was
a day 1 starter. If she was a Sunday
starter, usually, you need about a week's
worth of pills before they're effective
(some docs will say a month just to be
safe). If she was a Sunday starter, she
may want to take Plan B just to be sure.
I don't think the odds are terribly high
though if you didn't ejaculate.
The info pamphlet that comes with the pill
usually says how long you need backup
protection if you start on day 1 or on the
first Sunday after your period.
