Just Had the Sweep

Wow, it really wasn't as bad as i thought, i was a little uncomfortable but it didn't hurt at all which i'm pleased about, My cervix is doing really well apparently, it's nice and soft and i'm 1-2cm. She could feel her head whilst she was doing it, she also complemented me on how tidy my bedroon was, not exactly what you expect when someone's fingers are in you cervix Laughing

lol too funny. i always find it weird to make small talk when someones sticking their hand up there. well, not someone, the doctor. Confused you know what i mean Laughing . i'm glad it wasn't bad for you. maybe that's a sign that she's ready anyway, with or without it. it's encouraging to hear that it wasn't painful, especially for those of us who might be asked if we want it done. i see an ob/gyn so i don't know if they do things like that or if it's a midwife thing. i hope she doesn't make you wait too long, but be patient with her, she'll come when she's ready. pretty soon now!!

My midwife said that her guess would be by the weekend judging by presentation and my cervix and she doubts very much that i'll need my induction date. I'll be doing lots of walking later today to go and do food shopping with my mum so that will help too, i've just taken to taking each day as it comes now because at the end of the day she can't stay in there forever even if it does feel like she is

i heard squatting can also help. did your midwife ever mention that? it opens up the pelvis and helps baby's head move down. i'm not your midwife so don't go by what i say, it's just something i've seen in a couple of books and in my prenatal class.

I'm glad to hear that your appointment went so well!
and yea it is really encouraging to hear it wasn't painful... as some of us may have to do the saame thing soon!
Laughing I thinkit's cute she made small talk in your room.
I had a pap done a while ago and right in the middle of it the doctor said "soooo, your pregnant?"
I was so uncomfortable but couldn't help to laugh!
Walk tons... squat do what you gotta do lady, I can't wait to see her!

Sometimes it does drag out, like at night when i'm layin gin bed trying to get to sleep and i have nothing to do but think i sometimes get upset that she's not here yet and i'm not waking up to nurse her or change her, but then sometimes i think that it's nice to make the most of my days with .Dom while we're just a couple and not full time mum and dad

You have absolutely the best outlook on things.
It's awesome you stay so positive, I mean I know there isn't much to be negative about Laughing but sometimes the wait is brutal, and you're making the best out of it.
You're just doing so great!!
It'll be worth it.
I'm so excited for you!
