Hair loss : how can I stop hair from falling out ? Posted: 06-28-07 06:42am
About 3 weeks ago, I went on a diet. I
started eating less and healthier. I am
eating granola bars and coffee for
breakfast, a salad or a grilled chicken
sandwich (with wheat bread) for lunch and
either grilled chicken or fish and
vegetables for dinner. I am only drinking
water. Well, about the same time that I
started this diet, my hair on my head
started falling out. It is filling up the
drain in the shower in one day. I can run
my fingers through my hair and have about
5 hairs on my hand every time I do it. Is
it the diet that is doing this? I don't
want to start eating bad again, but I also
do not want to lose my hair. What can I do
to stop it falling out?
It doesn’t seem likely that your diet
has caused hair loss. Hair loss can be due
to many conditions including lack of
nutrients (vitamins and minerals) but your
diet contains all the necessary nutrients.
You can consult a dermatologist about your
condition in order to seek a diagnosis and
target the cause of hair loss.
