Q: Should I Worry?

Well, day before yesterday, it was a normal day. Full of nausia and more nausia.
I went to sleep, and woke up at like 4am to potty. I don't know why, but *everytime* I potty, I check out the toilet paper.(it's something I've done since before I got preg with .oni) Question lol

Anyways, I Was in the dark and when I looked down I saw a large amount of dark discharge on the paper!!! Shocked I paniced and turned the light on! It was dark dark brown. I sat there, kinda trinkled a lil more pee out, and wiped again. It was still there. Dark brown.

WHen we woke up for the morning, I pottied again. It was still there, just not as much.

I hadn't cramped *at all* the day before or that night. So, I wasn't really worried.

THroughout the day, as I pottied, it became less and less. The next morning, it was completely gone.

Should I be worried about the brown discharge? Being that I didn't cramp at all??

Oh, and this nausia, is really taking a toll on me.... Crying or Very sad I just wish I would puke!!!!!!

aww hun the nausia thing is horrible but it does go!! Smile I had the same thing and was never sick. Everytime I cleaned my teeth it was the worst!! Mad

On the discharge thing, I would imagine if it was anything to worry about you would have had cramps and it would have carried on, not just faded out. There was no actual bright blood right?
It might be an idea just to give your doctor or midwife a call though just to discuss it over with them, esp if its playing on your mind. I am sure they will put your mind at rest!!

I have just realised your due a christmas baby!! What a prezzie for oni!! Smile

no, there was no blood (or even redness) to it at all. Which eased my mind. that plus no cramping, I wasn't stressing too much.

THe reason I was asking is becasue I never had any sort of brown discharge with my pregnancy for .oni. And I was wondering if anyone else had ecperienced brown spotting in their 4th month.

THe date that I had it, would have been around the last days of my "regular" period, if I wasn't pregnant. So maybe it was just old blood??

With .oni the *only* time I threw up was when I brushed my teeth!!!! So my mom(a dental hygientist) told me to minimize the amount of toothpaste to pea sized. Even after I had .oni, I never raised it back to the full brush full of paste!

I just feel soooo nausiated allll day long. Like, I wish I could just puke and feel better! But then again, I'd rather be nausiated than be puking all day. If that makes sense?

Oh, and my uterus is officially above my pelvic bone!!! When .oni climbs on me, or presses her arm on my belly, I can feel it about 3 to 4 inches under my belly button!! It's exciting to know that soon I'll have a massive belly!!!

I dont think there is much to worry about then. Just keep an eye on it. I never had anything like that happen either so my advice probably isnt the best!!

It never used to be the toothpaste that made me feel ill, it was the tooth brush!! Whenever I did my back teeth I'd be gagging! Confused not a nice experience to remember Laughing

yay for big belly's even if they are uncomfortable! You might get bigger quicker this time round too because of the muscles having already been strecthed... I know I did!! Just wait till your big and oni elbows on your stomach...man thats painful!! Lucas does it all the time, bless him if I say 'ow!' he looks really upset because he doesnt realise what he's done!

Oh and thanks for the advice on increasing my water intake! I have been drinking all day long and I seriously dont think I was drinking enough because I really feel so much better in general for it Smile

Brown Discharge
I just wanted to let you know that I had brown discharge during this pregnancy. If this is tmi I am sorry but it was so brown that it looked like dark chocolate. I happened a few times but everything was fine. I am now 16wks and things are going great. So I wouldn't be too worried I am sure that every things fine. Also this is my 3rd pregnancy and I didn't have this for my first two at all. Don't be surprised if it happens in a day or two. For me it would come and go.

Good luck and I hope that you have a happy and healthy nine months!!!!

It's probably nothing to worry about. Do you have an appointment soon? If not, I'll just call in and let the doctor know. Better be safe than sorry.

Ive been having some dark brown discharge as well. its a little on my underwear but not really there when i wipe. I'm 13 weeks, and when i went to the last ultra sound the tech said that the baby had a good strong heartbeat and that everything looked fine. My doctors appointment is july 3rd so im just waiting until then to ask but, considering i have no pain im not really worrying about it.

Tmi question: Had you had sex the night before? If you did, this was probably from your cervix, which can be completely normal. There is more blood flow to that area and if it gets bumped around a little bit, it can bleed.

Brown blood = old blood. Red blood is when you need to worry. Red means an active bleed.

If you have any cramping along with red blood, please call your doctor immediately!
