Can Anyone Tell Me... Posted: 07-02-07 19:21pm
If a woman with her tubes tied is still
able to get pregnant/give birth? To be
more specific I believe she had her tubes
tied and cut.. I am not sure. I'd
appreciate any input if you have knowledge
on this subject. Thanks in advance!

It is possible for a woman to get pregnant
after she had her tubes tied, although the
chances are very slim. Many times when
the woman does get pregnant after having
her tubes tied, it is a tubal (ectopic)
pregnancy.

How about if her tubes were tied, cut, and
burned? This is also assuming she were
trying to get pregnant... perhaps with
whatever advanced procedures exist these
days opposed to normal intercourse. Thx
for the input.. would like to hear more

She could certainly become pregnant if
invirto fertilization was used. You don't
need fallopian tubes for that.

Thx so much for the responses! I'm going
to try to do more research on the method
you mentioned and possibly other ones if
there are any. Do you know of any risks
associated with the method you mentioned
for the mother?
