I've been using ovulation test strips for
the past three days (I started testing
around when i should be ovulating). I got
the two red lines for a day and half. Then
i had a sharp pain in my lower abdomen for
around 3 - 5 minutes and it went away.
When i got home i decided to take an
ovulation test and i didn't get the second
red line. Could this mean that i ovulated?

That sounds to me like you did ovulate.
That is just about what happens to me when
i ovulate. I get a gradual positive line
in the days leading up to ovulation and
then right after it is either a faint line
or nothing. I also get mild cramping. I
usually get it for a few hours when I
ovulate.
Do you chart your temps at all, or are you
only using the opk right now. How long
have you been trying to conceive?

This is my second month off the pill so i
guess we've been ttc for 2 months. Last
month i didn't seem to even get any two
lines so i'm being hopeful. I haven't been
charting my temps because it just seems so
complicated. I bought the basal
thermometer but u have to put it in right
when u wake up and it doesn't beep for a
long time. So i'm hoping that i won't have
to use it. If i don't get pregnant this
month then next month i'll try it.

Taking your temp isn't as hard as you
think. I myself was against it for a long
time because it seemed so complicatd. The
girls on here convinced me that I should
try it and I use it every day. It is like
a habit now. I keep it in my nightstand
and as soon as dh's alarm goes off, i put
it in. Or if I don't get it in when he
gets up, I take it as soon as I get out of
bed. It becomes engraved in your mind
after a while.
