Pray For Brandon.

My brother was in an accident today. I got
the call after they had rushed him to the
hospital. He was in a car accident and
flipped 3 times. He was stuck in the car
untill the fir department cut him out.
They contacted my aunt and my mom but
wouldn't give any information over the
phone. All they said was that they both
needed to get to New Orleans as soon as
possible. Before I type anymore the
details on my brother are that he is
really my cousin but my mom raised him. So
regardless he is still my family.
My sister called me and this isn't the
first car he has totalled so I was
expecting her to say he was alright just
eff'd up another car. She said Brandon had
got into an accident and I asked if he was
ok and she said "No, I don't think so. Not
this time." My heart sank. A few minutes
later my mom called and she gave me more
details on the situation.
When they got him out of the car he was
unresponsive and has been ever since. He
has a bunch of broken bones and ribs and a
deep laceration to his liver and stomache.
They aren't even aknowledging that at the
moment. He has massive head trauma and his
brain is swelling. They put him in a coma
my mom said and have put screws in his
skull to do whatever they can to decrease
the swelling of his brain.
Thats all I know so far. . . I had to get
some sleep so I dozed off but no more news
yet. I would just like to ask for you guys
to pray for him. He just made 21 and has a
1 1/2 yr. old baby girl and a new baby on
the way in 2 months. Just please keep him
in your prayers tonight. Thank you so
much.
Sarah the accident happened on Lapalco
Blvd. near terrytown by any chance
have you seen anything on the news about
it because I looked on the internet and
couldn't find anything and seeing as I am
in Texas I can't see new orleans news. I
am just so worried because the doc. won't
give much information because they don't
want to give false hope. He is at
University Hospital (The new Charity) Just
I ask again please keep him in your
prayers.

Not that I know.
My mom just made it to New Orleans.
Next time she calls I am deff. going to
ask.
There is just so much that runs through my
head of what to ask when I get on the
phone with her.
I will be down there within the week.
We're just trying to play it by ear before
I haul butt down there.

ok...this is all I could find about
anything on lapalco near terrytown.
Was he in a pt cruiser? This is what I
got..from the times picayune.
"Terrytown fire engine hit on Lapalco
A Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department
engine responding to a traffic accident on
Lapalco Boulevard became a statistic
itself Saturday when another car lost
control and plowed into the engine.
Firefighters responded to reports of a TP
Cruiser that had flipped over in an
accident about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, parking
their engine behind the Cruiser in a
westbound lane of Lapalco, near Timberlane
Drive.
A Ford Expedition driven by Nicole Lee,
33, of New Orleans, lost control on
Lapalco, hit another car and then struck
the side of the fire engine, which had its
emergency lights flashing, according to
fire department Deputy Chief Robert
Masson.
“No one was injured but the engine had
to be towed off,” a news release said.
“Ms. Lee received numerous traffic
violation citations as a result of the
accident.”

Thank you guys so much fot your kind
thoughts and prayers. I still haven't herd
anything since last night around the time
they put him in the coma.
I am still waiting on news from my mom.
The last I herd from my sister was that
they had made everyone leave out of his
room.
My mom said he dosen't even look like
himself. When I know more I will be sure
to let you guys know. Just continue to
pray for him please. My hope for him is
not going anywhere. I know deep down he
will pull through but I am trying to leave
it all in the lords hands and just keep my
prayers ongoing.
Sarah I'm not sure that is the accident he
was in. His full name is Brandon Ray Cano.
I will be sure to keep you guys updated as
soon as I get more information.

The article says they were responding to a
car that had flipped several times on
.lapalco when the wreck with the firetruck
happened.

happened to him! Know that the dr's will
do all they can but like you said it is in

Ok then that might have been where he was
then when that second accident accured
cause his car had flipped several times on
lapalco near terrytown. I don't know what
kind of car but that sounds like it could
be it.
He is at .Univeristy .Hospital right now.
I just spoke with my mom not to long ago
and she said nothing has really changed.
He is still in the coma.
They let his friends in to see him today.
I wanna be down there so bad. I am just
waiting on the word to go.
I will tell more when I know more.
