I have had a period for 4 weeks now and
still going. The 1st week i was spoting
and then i got a normail one then it
hasent stoped it was 4 weeks yesterday
since i started and havent stoped. I took
a pregnancy test 3 weeks ago and it was
negative. What would be going on? Why
havent i stoped. I couldnt be pregant
could I
Prolonged menstruation (menorrhagya) and
intermenstrual bleeding
(metrorrhagia-spotting) are not signs of
pregnancy. A negative pregnancy test
confirms that you are not pregnancy. A
prolonged period and spotting can be due
to functional or organic reasons.
Functional reasons include hormonal
disturbances. Organic reasons could
include tumors, infections, endometriosis
etc. You SHOULD visit your gynecologist
for a consultation and to seek a
diagnosis.
