Q: Pregnancy After a Breast Reduction
asked by: Shanyan on July 4th, 2007
Extremely eHealthy
Three years ago I had a breast reduction, at the time i thought that I was done having children. However I am now 17wks pregnant and I was just wondering if anyone has had the surgery and then had a baby after and if so did your breast go back to what they were before.

I am really paranoid because I love my breasts now and I'm scared that they might go back to the way they were. They have gotten a bit bigger so far but my biggest concern is my nipples. Pregnancy makes the nipples bigger as well and I am really praying that that doesn't happen.

Hopefully someone else has been through this and can tell me their experience.

Thanx

Pregnancy After Breast Reduction
Like you I had a breast reduction but just this past January. 2 months later I found out I was pregnant. I too was through having children but here I am. Have you found out anything about what happens after? I'm not planning on breast feeding as I don't want to frustrate myself or the baby with attempts. Also, selfishly I don't want to loose the ability to go without a bra in the summer. Did you get any answers to your post?

No, unfortunately nobody except for you has replied. So far my boobs are pretty much the same, but I still have 5 months to go. I started walking every night to try and not gain to much weight. Also I wear a bra everyday to try and give them added support, although they don't need it but I am just paranoid.

I am just praying that they stay this way. Everyday I examine them in a mirror to see if anything is different but so far so good. hopefully the same will be for you.

When you have a breast reduction do you still experience breast tenderness when you are pregnant?
