Hi

OMG I am in agony. I have just had a temporary filling put in place.

I had a temporary one which came out, I then got an abcess on the tooth, took some anti biotics and had a temporary filling put in again today.

It is really agony, like the pain of the abcess again.

I am 28wks pregnant and cannot have a normal filling. I have taken some strong painkiller but dont know what else to do.

When I had the temporary filling last time I was not in pain.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot. I have been sick with the pain too Crying or Very sad

The filling may be too high and you are putting all of your pressure on that tooth first which will make it sore. The tooth may also need to have a root canal done depending on how much decay is in the tooth and when you put the filling material in the tooth it may be sitting on the nerve which will also cause pain. So if you have had this hole in your tooth for a long time then you will probably need to have a root canal done if you want to keep the tooth.
